Cuando inicié la investigación que, sin culminar aquí, se plasma en este libro, la pregunta era: ¿es el psicoanálisis heteronormativo? Distintas experiencias y lecturas me llevaban ineludiblemente a suponerlo. Pero al poco tiempo la pregunta cambió por otra: ¿es el psicoanálisis inevitablemente heteronormativo? Este libro busca obstinadamente cómo desarticular el sesgo heteronormativo que hay en las teorizaciones del psicoanálisis, para poder acoger verdaderamente a la diversidad de la vida erótica. Apoyándome en desarrollos de Michel Foucault y los Lesbian & gay studies, en la teoría queer y en teorizaciones feministas me explayo sobre la dimensión política de la sexualidad (tan descuidada por el psicoanálisis) y sobre los dispositivos que la regulan permanentemente; como mecanismos normalizadores y productores de subjetividades. Pero si bien dialogo con esos discursos, y considero que es fundamental hacerlo, escuchar lo que las otras sexualidades tienen para decir cuando hablan en primera persona, es un libro escrito enteramente desde el psicoanálisis y en beneficio del psicoanálisis, que pretende repensar ciertos conceptos para aliviarlo de un lastre heteronormativo que lo aleja de su espíritu más propio. Abro mi escucha hacia otros discursos, pero siempre pienso como psicoanalista.La otra pregunta que subtiende todo el texto es sobre la articulación del complejo de Edipo con el complejo de castración: ¿es posible una articulación de los mismos que no sea heteronormativa? El libro adelanta propuestas que van en esa vía; espero que sirvan de estímulo para otros.Si bien la mayoría de los planteos del texto son extrapolables, mutatis mutandis, a otras formas de diversidad sexual, el libro se centra, como el título lo da a entender, sobre la cuestión gay.
