Lo studio si ricollega alla ricerca sulla voluntary disclosure presente nei bilanci delle società. In particolare è interessante analizzare quella parte del capitale relazionale definita CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) e la parte di informazioni rientranti nella risk disclosure (ambientale e sociale). Questo Working Paper si collega al precedente Working Paper sulla Sostenibilità n.1 “La disclosure sullo sviluppo sostenibile e il maggior valore riconosciuto all'azienda dal mercato” della stessa Autrice che analizzava la rilevanza della disclosure sullo sviluppo sostenibile e sulle politiche ambientali presenti nel bilancio delle società. Questa ricerca è ancora nella prima fase di studio in quanto sono stati analizzati solo i Bilanci relativi all’anno 2010 delle aziende selezionate. In questo lavoro rispetto al precedente sono state aggiunte nuove keywords tratte dalle guidelines sulla CSR disclosure con conseguente ampliamento della bibliografia. La ricerca continua con la rilevazione delle keywords sulla sostenibilità rinvenienti dall’analisi dei bilanci delle società selezionate dall’anno 2011 al 2017. Lo studio dell’evoluzione della CSR disclosure delle due categorie “Ambientale” e “Sociale” sarà l’obiettivo finale di questa ricerca sulla Sostenibilità.

La ricerca nasce dallo studio della voluntary disclosure presente nei bilanci delle società. In particolare è interessante analizzare quella parte del capitale relazionale definita CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) e la parte di informazioni rientranti nella risk disclosure (ambientale e sociale). È noto che nel 2017 sarà obbligatorio, per le grandi organizzazioni, il bilancio di sostenibilità detto anche bilancio sociale che rientra nella dichiarazione non finanziaria ai sensi del D.Lgs. 254/2016. In questo working paper si analizzerà la rilevanza della disclosure sullo sviluppo sostenibile e sulle politiche ambientali presenti nel bilancio 2010 delle società appartenenti secondo l’autrice, ai settori maggiormente a rischio ambientale. È stato scelto il 2010 come anno iniziale della ricerca per capire la rilevanza della comunicazione volontaria sullo sviluppo sostenibile e si attende il recepimento della mandatory disclosure rappresentata dal Bilancio di sostenibilità per un confronto puntuale sulla quantità e qualità dell’informativa volontaria dal 2010 al 2016 e di quella obbligatoria del 2017.
