La ricerca propone un inquadramento teorico della dispersione scolastica e delle sue potenziali cause attraverso la presentazione di dati raccolti da diverse fonti in Italia e nella regione Emilia-Romagna. Viene, inoltre, illustrata la correlazione tra questo fenomeno e i disturbi specifici dell’apprendimento. Scendendo in profondità viene presentata un’indagine sulla qualità di vita dei ragazzi con un disturbo specifico dell’apprendimento in quanto, dall’analisi della letteratura esistente, emerge come la dispersione scolastica può derivare da diversi fattori. Si è cercato allora di mettere in luce quanto questi fattori siano presenti tra i/le ragazzi/e del territorio dei Comuni dell’Unione della Romagna Faentina, così da cercare di mettere in atto conseguenti azioni di prevenzione. L’indagine è stata condotta attraverso diversi questionari somministrati a ragazzi e ragazze con un disturbo specifico dell’apprendimento e residenti nei Comuni interessati dall’indagine, ai loro genitori, ai loro insegnanti e agli operatori che lavorano in Centri pomeridiani di aiuto allo studio. Dall’indagine emerge che spesso i/le ragazzi/e fanno fatica a confrontarsi apertamente con gli insegnanti, a concordare insieme a loro strumenti e strategie che possano essere loro utili, e di conseguenza, creare un rapporto sereno di fiducia e riuscire così ad “accettare i limiti” dati dalle regole e dai programmi ministeriali. Accanto a ciò si presenta la difficoltà percepita dagli insegnanti nel “cosa e come proporlo” agli alunni (personalizzazione vs estrema semplificazione).

For more than 120 years (1714-1837) Great Britain was linked to the German Electorate, later Kingdom, of Hanover through Personal Union. This made Britain a continental European state in many respects, and diluted her sense of insular apartness.
