L’ammalato ha bisogno del medico perché lui stesso, prima di chiunque altro, capisca cosa gli sta succedendo; al tempo stesso il medico, se non vuole rinchiudersi in un sapere tautologico, deve accettare la sfida che si cela nell’unicità del soggetto che si rivolge a lui, poiché è questa sfida che lo porta a varcare la soglia “di ciò che sa già”, per puntare allo sviluppo delle sue conoscenze, in definitiva per essere scienziato della salute.
