Laura Martinelli è nata a Cremona il 12 ottobre 1955, prima di quattro fratelli. Le è stato dato il nome della nonna paterna che ha sempre portato con orgoglio perché l’amava molto. Avrebbe voluto diventare una insegnante di italiano, ma le precarie condizioni economiche della sua famiglia non glielo hanno permesso. Una scelta alquanto “fortuita”, forse costruita dal caso, l’ha portata a diventare infermiera, e se dovesse rinascere una seconda volta non avrebbe nessun dubbio nel rifare tale scelta. Ha vissuto, con immutato entusiasmo e dedizione, questa professione per 40 anni nell’Unità Operativa di Neurologia nell’Ospedale Maggiore della sua città, prima come infermiera poi come Capo Sala. Esperienza che le ha dato molto e di cui “è tuttora impregnata” è stato vivere lo scoutismo per diversi anni. Sue grandi passioni sono l’amore per i libri e per la natura. Da poco è nonna di Ada, una piccolina meravigliosa che le dona tanta gioia.
