Spanish Abstract: El objetivo de esta investigación es examinar los efectos de los cambios en el salario mínimo y las transferencias monetarias condicionadas en la participación económica de la población y la informalidad laboral en Argentina. La magnitud que ambas políticas han logrado en el caso argentino brinda la oportunidad de discutir estos temas en profundidad. El salario mínimo cambió periódicamente entre 2002 y 2014, clasificándose entre los más altos de América Latina, mientras que el programa de transferencia de efectivo -Unidad Universal para Niños- se beneficia de su implementación en aproximadamente el 40% de los niños que viven en el país. La evidencia sugiere que las modificaciones hechas en el salario mínimo no produjeron efectos adversos sobre el empleo. Además, la probabilidad de ingresar a la informalidad cuando cambió el salario mínimo no varió sustancialmente. En cuanto al programa de transferencia de efectivo condicional, no alentaron la retirada hacia la inactividad económica de los adultos en los hogares beneficiarios.
