Celui-ci, qui survient près de trente ans après la belle époque de Mongo Beti, Ferdinand Oyono, Guillaume Oyono Mbia et d'autres, mérite l'attention de la critique pour que celle-ci puisse dévoiler son contexte d'émergence, ses propriétés thématiques et ses codes esthétiques.
