The poetry of Yrene Santos is part of the human tradition rooted in historical, Latin-American and personal "female discomfort." Her lyric expresses a testimony resistant to an exacerbated burden of anguish, bitterness and "Desolation" of the echo of the vibrant voice of the female figures of mother and / or lover. In this space, there is no lack of sensitivity, hope or optimism. I clean my circle to move forward, longing for a blurred route of human justice that sounds rather because of its absence. In her work, After the Rain, the poetic "I" appears embedded in a narrative flow where the lyric alternates with the narration, creating a semi-autobiographical braid of fiction. Her verses impact a wave of suspicious pain in which exhaustion and serenity embrace in the flow of an inner tune, capable of evoking in our souls the mystical melody of the eternal Scheherazade. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION From the author of the New York Times bestseller Fish in a Tree comes a compelling story about perspective and learning to love the family you have. Delsie loves tracking the weather--lately, though, it seems the squalls are in her own life. She's always lived with her kindhearted Grammy, but now she's looking at their life with new eyes and wishing she could have a "regular family." Delsie observes other changes in the air, too--the most painful being a friend who's outgrown her. Luckily, she has neighbors with strong shoulders to support her, and Ronan, a new friend who is caring and courageous but also troubled by the losses he's endured. As Ronan and Delsie traipse around Cape Cod on their adventures, they both learn what it means to be angry versus sad, broken versus whole, and abandoned versus loved. And that, together, they can weather any storm.

Latin America has always been a full contributor to the rich poetic tradition of the Spanish language. Even before the arrival of the Spanish, the native peoples of Central and South America had a poetic idiom of their own. This bilingual anthology for young readers, containing sixty-four poems from nineteen countries, presents a fascinating mix of established and new poets. A significant portion of the book comes from the native community. Traditional pre-Colombian work is represented alongside that of young indigenous poets, who are writing some of the most exciting and fresh poetry in the Americas today. Divided into four loose thematic groupings -- Magic Recipes, Traditional Songs and Cooings, The Cricket Sings in the Mountain, and Words and Books -- the poems range from celebrations of nature to nonsense, from politics to magic. Poems of long-famous poets such as Gabriela Mistral, Nicanor Parra, Ruben Dario and Miguel Angel Asturias are included along with the poems of the revolutionary Salvadoran, Roque Dalton, the brilliant Maya, Humberto Ak'abal, and the wonderful Cuban, Emilia Gallego. Claudia Lee, the editor, searched many sources to find poems that would engage young people, would represent the diversity of Latin America and, perhaps most importantly, would include dynamic, new voices. With beautiful black-and-white illustrations by Colombian illustrator Rafael Yockteng, the book provides an outstanding introduction to a rich poetic tradition and an engaging way for young readers to encounter poetry. Originally published separate Spanish and English versions in 2002, this bilingual anthology will be a welcome addition to any library or home with an interest in Latin American culture

Carlos Castaneda Oportunismo Acad Mico Y Los Psiqued Licos A Os Sesenta written by Jay Courtney Fikes and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-02 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

Carlos Castaneda's books are accepted as truthful by millions of Spanish speakers, probably because most of them have not read this Spanish translation of Professor Fikes' book, Carlos Castaneda, Academic Opportunism and the Psychedelic Sixties. Dr. Fikes published this book in 1993 in Canada, after completing years of research in Mexico and the United States. Now two Spaniards, Juan Samper and Lourdes Escario, have translated Fikes' book without payment, convinced that it is valuable for everybody. Carlos Castaneda's central claim, to have learned sorcery from an elderly Yaqui Indian named don Juan Matus, is contradicted by Professor Jay Fikes' evidence. Fikes'
