In the Kumaon foothills of the Indian Himalayan mountains, where great saints and yogis of the past and present have made their ancestral homes since the beginning of creation, resides Shiva Mahavatar Babaji, known to millions in the West through Paramahansa Yogananda's book, Autobiography of a Yogi. In 1970, Shri Babaji, the deathless Master, appeared as a youth of 18 years old in a cave at the foot of Mount Kailash in the state of Samadhi. He displayed great wisdom and divine powers and was recognized by people as the great Mahavatar reincarnated. His coming was foretold both by saints and ancient scriptures. He came to reform the hearts and minds of men, uplift humanity during troubled times, and to teach and restore the Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion) of truth, simplicity, love, unity, and selfless service to God. (Karma Yoga). This book records His teachings and the extraordinary accounts of people's dreams, visions and encounters that bear witness to His omnipresence. This book is written with the intention for people to experience Babaji through these pages, so it will inspire you to investigate this fascinating Being for yourselves.

In this century, so hurried, incoherent, full of riches which dominate us more than they serve, we have need of a true mastery and of the joy that comes of it. But our psychology knows yet only the surfaces of being, and our imported orientalism illumines some obscure depths which may perhaps be adequate for the cross-legged sage, but not for the beleaguered men we are. This now classic introduction to Sri Aurobindo not only tells us the story of his life-in itself a remarkable adventure-but Satprem also takes us along in a methodical exploration of Sri Aurobindo's integral yoga, showing how it leads to a divine rehabilitation of Matter and gives our painful evolution its meaning and hope. Now the time may have come at last to unveil the Mysteries and to recover the complete truth of the two poles within a third position, which is neither that of the materialists nor that of the spiritualists. Sri Aurobindo, or The Adventure of Consciousness has been written from a Western point of view and for those who yearn for a truth of Life and not only a truth with eyes closed. It presents just one aspect of Sri Aurobindo, the most practical one. We only hope it will lead the reader to explore for himself Sri Aurobindo, and perhaps, with him, find the perfect harmony of East and West, of inner freedom and outer mastery. One volume: 340 pages.

17 November 1979 You were reading a somewhat retro loveletter, the last in history. But you have not yet received it. Yes, its lack or excess of address prepares it to fall into all hands: a post card, an open letter in which the secret appears, but indecipherably. What does a post card want to say to you? On what conditions is it possible? Its destination traverses you, you no longer know who you are. At the very instant when from its address it interpellates, you, uniquely you, instead of reaching you it divides you or sets you aside, occasionally overlooks you. And you love and you do not love, it makes of you what you wish, it takes you, it leaves you, it gives you. On the other side of the card, look, a proposition is made to you, S and p, Socrates and plato. For once the former seems to write, and with his other hand he is even scratching. But what is Plato doing with his outstretched finger in his back? While you occupy yourself with turning it around in every direction, it is the picture that turns you around like a letter, in advance it deciphers you, it preoccupies space, it procures your words and gestures, all the bodies that you believe you invent in order to determine its outline. You find yourself, you, yourself, on its path. The thick support of the card, a book heavy and light, is also the specter of this scene, the analysis between Socrates and Plato, on the program of several others. Like the soothsayer, a "fortune-telling book" watches over and speculates on that-which-must-happen, on what it indeed might mean to happen, to arrive, to have to happen or arrive, to let or to make happen or arrive, to destine, to address, to send, to legate, to inherit, etc., if it all still signifies, between here and there, the near and the far, da und fort, the one or the other. You situate the subject of the book: between the posts and the analytic movement, the pleasure principle and the history of telecommunications, the post card and the purloined letter, in a word the transference from Socrates to Freud, and beyond. This satire of epistolary literature had to be farci, stuffed with addresses, postal codes, crypted missives, anonymous letters, all of it confided to so many modes, genres, and tones. In it I also abuse dates, signatures, titles or references, language itself. J. D. "With The Post Card, as with Glas, Derrida appears more as writer than as philosopher. Or we could say that here, in what is in part a mock epistolary novel (the long section is called "Envois," roughly, "dispatches" ), he stages his writing more overtly than in the scholarly works. . . . The Post Card also contains a series of self-reflective essays, largely focused on Freud, in which Derrida is beautifully lucid and direct."—Alexander Gelley, Library Journal

The Flowers Of Tarbes Or Terror In Literature written by Jean Paulhan and has been published by University of Illinois Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with French literature categories.

Paulhan's seminal work in English for the first time Les Fleurs de Tarbes, ou la terreur dans les lettres, first published as a single volume in 1941, was considered by Jean Paulhan to be the furthest-reaching expression of his thinking about literature and language. It is now recognized as a landmark text in the history of twentieth century literary criticism and in the emergence of contemporary literary theory. This is the first time it has been translated into English. The playful tone and quirky, casual style of Paulhan's writing mask a theoretical intent and seriousness of purpose that are extraordinarily prescient. In The Flowers of Tarbes Paulhan probes the relationship between language, meaning, context, intention and action with unremitting tenacity, and in so doing produces a major treatise on the nature of the literary act, and a meditation on what we might now call the responsibility or ethical imperative of literature itself.

Why are prominent doctors and medical researchers all over the world interested in the extraordinary healings reported by the patients of Dr. Eric Pearl? What does it mean when these patients report the sudden disappearance of afflictions such as cancers, AIDS-related diseases, and cerebral palsy? And what does it mean when people who interact with Dr. Pearl report a sudden ability to access this healing energy not just for themselves, but for others, too? What is this phenomenon? Well, you might have to reconsider everything you've read up until now about conventional healing. The ''new'' frequencies of healing described by Dr. Pearl transcend ''technique'' entirely and bring you to levels beyond those previously accessible to anyone, anywhere. This book takes you on Dr. Pearl's journey from the discovery of his ability to facilitate healings, to his well-deserved reputation as the instrument through which this process is being introduced to the world. But most important, The Reconnection reveals methods you can use to personally master these new healing energies.

A revolutionary nutrient therapy that stimulates the energetic pathways of the body to improve physical and psychological health--without needles • Explains how Nutripuncture accelerates the body’s self-healing abilities through the meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine • Explores all 38 Nutripuncture remedies and what physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms they treat, often with rapid results • An easy and accessible way to treat acute or chronic ailments and allergies as well as deep-seated or traumatic psychological stresses Nutripuncture works with the body’s energetic meridians like acupuncture and acupressure--but without needles or pressure points. Combining traditional Chinese medicine with organic chemistry, the latest understanding of DNA, and the cellular nutrition work of Georges Lakhovsky and Nobel Prize-winner Barbara McClintock, Nutripuncture uses mineral complexes to supply microcurrents of reinforcing energy to the body’s information pathways and organ systems. By focusing on the life energy within our cells and balancing and nourishing the meridians, Nutripuncture accelerates our innate self-healing abilities to overcome illness, relationship conflicts, and many other physical, emotional, and mental stressors--often with rapid results. This guide explores all 38 Nutripuncture remedies, explaining what meridians they interact with and what physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms they can help--from treatment of acute illnesses, allergies, and chronic conditions such as acne or osteoporosis to broader goals of surviving divorce, detoxifying from damaged relationships with parents and partners, or reactivating stalled phases of development from childhood or adolescence. Providing an accessible introduction to this revolutionary method developed by Dr. Patrick Veret, this book shows how Nutripuncture provides an easy and noninvasive way to release unresolved emotional and psychological trauma and support the vital energy of our cells, meridians, organs, and nervous system without negative side effects or drug interactions.
