Concepción Arenal Ponte (1820-1893) fue una importante escritora española realista vinculada al pionero movimiento feminista de finales del siglo XIX, luchando desde joven por romper los cánones establecidos para la mujer, rebelándose contra la tradicional marginación del sexo femenino, y reivindicando la igualdad en todas las esferas sociales para la mujer.
