The book investigates the reflection of Arthur Schopenhauer on education, calling to mind some of the great figures who have underlined his value as educator: Nietzsche of the Third Untimely Meditation, Hadot and Foucault of the Art of Living and Care of the Self; or, from the opposite perspective, the roles that were projected onto the philosopher as a teacher: aesthetic educator who was master of artistic contemplation for numerous generations of artists and writers between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, master of wisdom, revealer of Eastern cultures, eudaemonological model of practical philosophy. The research also examines the recent renewed interest in «formation» (Bildung) in order to repropose the problem of how to return from the viewpoint of Schopenhauer's «anthropological results» to the very conceptual core - the relationship between the educational field and philosophical universe of Schopenhauer in connection with his notion of the human subject.

Il Teorema di Dio di Gödel nasce da esigenze di carattere esistenziale e religioso. Per comprendere la sua prova ontologica di Dio, occorre tenere a mente come Gödel avesse sempre avuto il desiderio di trovare un ordine logico-matematico da porre a fondamento dell'esistenza dell'universo. Un tale ordine gli sembrava fosse assicurato solo dalla necessità logica dell'esistenza di Dio. L'ente divino doveva essere quella verità che non si basa su calcoli umani ed è, quindi, assoluta e non relativa. Gödel riprende la dimostrazione di Leibniz del seguente condizionale: se l'esistenza di Dio è possibile, allora l'esistenza di Dio è necessaria. Come Leibniz che si discosta dalla prova ontologica di Cartesio dimostrando che l'esistenza di Dio è possibile, cosí il matematico moravo fornisce una prova che Dio forma un sistema logicamente coerente da cui segue per modus ponens che Dio esiste in modo necessario. EMANUELE GAMBETTA ha conseguito il dottorato di Ricerca alla Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in Filosofia della Matematica con votazione 70/70 e lode. Poi è stato studente ricercatore all'università di Barcellona dove ha partecipato ai seminari al centro di teoria degli insiemi. In seguito ha fatto visita da ricercatore a molte università in giro per il mondo. Per i tipi della Gangemi Editore ha pubblicato Philosophy of the infinite (2020)

Per dimostrare l’esistenza di Dio occorre partire dall’idea di Dio. Se tale idea fosse analogica (del finito) verrebbe meno la necessarietà dell’inferenza: il finito presupporrebbe l’Infinito. Per l’Assoluto Realismo l’idea di Dio è l’idea dell’Essere trascendente. Infatti l’idea dell’essere, l’«essere» alla coscienza, è necessaria perché costituente la coscienza (non decidiamo noi di avere qualcosa alla coscienza, cioè di trascendere il dato). Ora, in quanto necessaria non può essere idea di nulla per cui deve sussistere necessariamente la Realtà di cui è idea: è idea dell’Essere, costituente il trascendentale che permette alla mia coscienza di trascendere il trascendibile. L’idea dell’Essere è un id quo (non un concetto presupponente già il trascendimento) che, nella mediazione originaria, fonda necessariamente la coscienza (trascendimento del dato) e la libertà (l’intervallo della scelta). Ma la certezza della Realtà dell’idea dell’Essere è laicamente «vuota di esperienza di realtà»: con la certezza di Dio, non si dà l’esperienza di Dio. L’esperienza di Dio è possibile solo con la libertà (con una scelta di fede) che la stessa idea di Dio pone in quanto dispositivo.
