Je l’ai ramené, au début des années 80, d’un voyage en Norvège chez notre partenaire Hartmark & Iras pour l’offrir à Jean-René Fourtou qui à cette époque présidait aux destinées de Bossard, le cabinet de conseil dans lequel je travaillais. Car il symbolisait à merveille, à mes yeux, le management bicéphale dans lequel nous vivions : lui, le visionnaire avec l’oeil sur l’horizon, et Jean-Pierre Auzimour, son compère, à la manoeuvre pour faire tourner la boutique. Mais il n’en a pas voulu, parce qu’il le trouvait trop laid ! Je l’ai alors rangé sur une étagère de mon bureau. Tout Bossard le connaissait et on lui avait donné le nom d’un consultant arborant une tignasse similaire... Un jour, mystérieusement, il disparut. Pour réapparaître deux ans après, tout aussi mystérieusement. Je l’ai alors ramené chez moi, pour pouvoir le surveiller. D’où il n’a pas bougé depuis. C’est sous sa bienveillante mais attentive supervision que j’ai écrit ce petit texte, production tardive d’un retraité pris dans des confi nements à répétition. Il rassemble quelques souvenirs et réflexions personnelles du consultant en management que j’ai été pendant plus de 50 ans. Une éternité !
