Este libro es un diario de navegación con el que su autor quiere compartir una dura y apasionante búsqueda que comenzó hace 25 años y que aún continúa. Es preciso y urgente promover cambios que contribuyan a una transformación radical de nuestro concepto de salud humana y del planeta, que debería contemplarse desde una mirada global, implicando concepción, embarazo, parto, crianza, desarrollo infantil, alimentación, salud individual, social y ecológica, y actuando desde diversos ángulos: decisiones individuales, cooperación y ayuda mutua, cambios legislativos, sociales y económicos.
