La sant sexuelle et reproductive des adolescents dans le monde et plus particuli rement en Afrique est au centre des pr occupations de la communaut internationale et des chercheurs. Depuis les ann es 80, la sexualit des jeunes constitue un probl me majeur de sant publique avec notamment, l'extension du SIDA, des grossesses non d sir es, des avortements provoqu s non s curis s et du ph nom ne des enfants de la rue. Face cette probl matique, nous nous sommes interrog s sur les niveaux et les d terminants de la sexualit des adolescents c libataires au Congo. Cette tude nous a permis de montrer que, la premi re exp rience sexuelle au Congo est v cue entre 15 et 16 ans respectivement chez les filles et chez les gar ons, pr s des deux tiers des adolescents sont sexuellement actifs avant le mariage et les adolescentes c libataires connaissant les moyens de pr vention du SIDA sont sexuellement moins actives que leurs comp res.
