Delo je bibliografski pregled slovenske zgodovinopisne publicistike objavljene v tujih jezikih v obdobju od leta 1918 do vključno leta 1993. Objavljeno je bilo ob priložnosti 18. mednarodnega kongresa zgodovinskih ved, ki je bil leta 1995 v Montrealu. Bibliografija je razdeljena na štiri dele. Prvi, splošni del, se nanaša na objave zgodovinskih virov in zgodovinsko vedo kot tako; drugi del prikazuje objave po zgodovinskih obdobjih; v tretjem delu je bibliografija razvrščena po predmetih oz. temah; četrti del prinaša bibliografijo o Slovencih v sosednjih deželah in v emigraciji. La storia del fascismo nella Repubblica di San Marino è un caso di studio che pone il quesito, in qualche modo paradossale, circa l'effettiva natura fascista del fascismo sammarinese. Il volume ha cercato di rispondere all'interrogativo tenendo in considerazione i principali risultati acquisiti nel dibattito storiografico sul fascismo italiano, che costituisce il modello in base al quale si può misurare la particolarità del caso sammarinese. Per effettuare questa comparazione, la ricerca ha utilizzato documenti fino ad oggi inutilizzati o inediti. Attraverso l'impiego incrociato di fonti provenienti da più archivi pubblici, italiani e sammarinesi, è stato possibile decifrare in modo più dettagliato alcuni dei momenti fondamentali della storia repubblicana tra le due guerre. L'accesso ai documenti lasciati in eredità da Ezio Balducci, rilevante figura del fascismo italiano e protagonista contrastato della vita politica sammarinese, oggi depositati presso l'Archivio di Stato di San Marino, ha fornito, inoltre, un punto di vista privilegiato per approfondire alcuni momenti decisivi per la definizione dell'identità della Repubblica durante il ventennio e oltre. Tra questi risaltano lo scontro interno al regime sammarinese, di cui Balducci è uno dei principali protagonisti, culminato nel presunto tentativo di colpo di Stato del giugno 1933, nonché il coinvolgimento indiretto della Repubblica nella Seconda guerra mondiale. Questi passaggi sono stati inseriti all'interno di una narrazione unitaria che ha seguito la parabola del fascismo sammarinese ricostruendone l'ascesa, le conflittualità interne, l'attività di governo e, in ultima istanza, il crollo repentino. The study of the fascism in the Republic of San Marino raises the somewhat paradoxical question – what was thw real nature of fascism in the fascist movement in San Marino? In this book yhe author has tried to answer this question, whil bearing in mind the main findings of the historiographical debate about Italian fascism, at this is the model against which it is possible to measure the distinctive characteristics of the situation in San Marino. In order to carry out this comparision, during the research documents were used which prior to this had never been released or consulted. Furthermore, by comparing data from various sources in public archives, both in Italy and San Marino, it was possible to decipher in a more detailed way some of the key moments in the history of the Republic between the two World Wars. Ezio Balducci was an important figure in the Italian fascist movement and a prominent controversial political figure in San Marino. Access to documents bequeathed by him, which are now to be found in the State Archive in San Marino, has given a vantage point from which to explore some of the decisive moments in the definition of the Republic’s identity during the twenty years of the fascist period and beyond. Among these there are the clashes within the regime in San Marino, of which Balducci was one of the main protagonists, culminating in the indirect involvement of the Republic in the Second World War. These episodes have been inserted into the main overall account which follows the rise and fall of fascism in San Marino, retracing its growth, the internal conflicts, the activities of the government and, ultimately, its sudden collapse.
