Descripción / Resumen (Español / Castellano): La presente investigación tiene como fin la revisión y actualización del panorama teórico-experimental sobre el uso de las formas de tratamiento tú y usted, que se emplean en el denominado “español castellano” o “español centro-norte peninsular”. Este tema ha sido ampliamente abordado por la Sociolingüística desde finales de los años 60, siendo objeto de profusas diatribas teóricas por la falta de acuerdo sobre los factores que intervienen en la selección de las formas tú y usted. Para llevar a cabo el estudio, se ha optado por una combinación de métodos y de metodologías de análisis, que dan lugar a la triangulación metodológica –uso de varias metodologías simultáneamente– y de datos – utilización de diversas fuentes de estudio–. Se han reunido, por tanto, materiales de distintas fuentes, como encuestas creadas ad hoc sobre el uso de las formas de tratamiento, encuestas sobre las creencias de uso y corpus orales, que han sido analizados con métodos y metodologías de análisis diversos. A partir de la revisión de todos estos materiales, podemos ahondar en el conocimiento de las formas de tratamiento en el español castellano, a través de los siguientes fundamentos: 1) el uso efectivo de estas formas, 2) los factores que intervienen en su utilización, 3) las situaciones de uso de tú y de usted, 4) su empleo en la interacción y 5) las percepciones conscientes de los hablantes sobre los tratamientos. Descripción / Resumen (Inglés): This study is based on the revision and update of the theoretical- experimental overview on the use of the address forms tú and usted in the "Castilian Spanish" or "north-central Peninsular Spanish". This topic has been widely treated by Sociolinguistics since the late 60s, being the object of a great number of theoretical discussions due to the lack of agreement on the intervening factors in the selection of the forms tú and usted.To carry out the study, a combination of methods and analysis methodologies were chosen, which lead to the methodological triangulation –the use of several methodologies at the same time- and data-the use of several study sources–. There has been a gathering of materials from different sources, such as surveys created ad hoc on the use of the address forms, surveys on linguistic perceptions of use and oral corpus, which have been analyzed with different methods and methodologies of analysis.Based on the revision of all these materials, we can delve into the knowledge of the address forms in Castilian Spanish through the following basis: 1) the effective use of these forms, 2) the factors that intervene in their use, 3) the usage situations of tú and usted, 4) their use in theinteraction and 5) the speakers' awareness of these address forms.

El presente volumen recoge el inminente proceso de innovación en la didáctica del español LE/L2; uno en el que la educación personalizada, la justicia, la transversalidad, las habilidades transferibles, el humanismo digital –pero humanismo, al fin y al cabo– no exijan renunciar a la alta literatura, ni a la música, ni al pensamiento crítico, ni a la traducción, ni a los aspectos formales de la lingüística aplicada a la enseñanza de ELE, ni a la espontaneidad, ni a la creatividad cultural, ni al sentimiento de pertenencia a un grupo/curso de estudiantes en un contexto digital, ni siquiera en esa aparente burbuja digital que parece incitar a la soledad o al aislamiento. En su primera acepción, el DRAE define innovar como «mudar o alterar algo, introduciendo novedades». Las contribuciones de este volumen muestran precisamente que en español LE/L2 no hace falta reinventar la rueda para generar innovación y acomodarnos con éxito a la «nueva normalidad»; solo es necesario un poco de creatividad (y cierto desarrollo competencial) para promover el empoderamiento digital del profesorado, sin abandonar la transversalidad educativa, pero tampoco los contenidos atemporales que enriquecen las estrategias de comunicación y las estrategias de aprendizaje –algo que al final acabará repercutiendo provechosamente en el alumnado‒.

El interés que han suscitado y suscitan las diferentes variedades del español peninsular e hispanoamericanas lo demuestra la abundante bibliografía en donde han sido descritas y catalogadas desde principios del siglo XX hasta el momento actual. Sin embargo, hoy en día, la sociolingüística y la pragmática deben sumarse a la dialectología para considerar nuevas perspectivas de estudio en torno a un hecho lingüístico: así, las variables como el sexo, el nivel de estudios, la edad, así como las nociones de prestigio y prestigio encubierto, deben ser elementos claves a la hora describir los distintos tipos de interacciones y actos lingüísticos. Al mismo tiempo, las variedades del español no sólo deben tratarse desde el ámbito lingüístico y literario, sino que su alcance puede ser abordado desde otras disciplinas; se propone, pues, en este volumen un novedoso y completo análisis del español y su diversidad, que incluyen el prisma de la lingüística, sociolingüística y pragmática; las lenguas en contacto; la traducción e interpretación y la didáctica de nuestra lengua como idioma extranjero. El estudio es diverso y variado, como el propio español, pero muestra una relación constante entre las diferentes disciplinas presentadas. The interest that the different varieties of Peninsular and Latin American Spanish have aroused and continue to arouse is demonstrated by the abundant bibliography in which they have been described and catalogued from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. However, nowadays, it is essential to associate dialectology with sociolinguistics and pragmatics, in order to consider new perspectives of study around a linguistic fact: variables such as sex, level of education, age and the notions of prestige and covert prestige must be key elements when describing the different types of interactions and linguistic acts. At the same time, the varieties of Spanish should not only be considered from the linguistic and literary sphere, but their importance can be considered within other disciplines; therefore, this volume proposes a novel and complete analysis of Spanish and its diversity, combining the prism of linguistics, sociolinguistics and pragmatics, languages in contact, translation and interpretation, and the didactics of Spanish as a foreign language. The study is diverse and varied, like the Spanish language itself, but shows a constant relationship between the different disciplines presented.
