Las condiciones que impone el capitalismo, enfrentan a las mujeres a la iniquidad, que se agrava en los estratos de menos ingresos y en las zonas rurales es aun peor. En Mexico para que las mujeres del ambito rural logren su desarrollo requieren enfrentar la pobreza alimentaria, de capacidades y patrimonial que las obliga a migrar del campo a la ciudad. Ademas, un importante sector en condiciones de pobreza extrema ha permanecido al margen de los programas aplicados -particularmente desde el ano 2000-, para superar la pobreza. La cultura las enfrenta a la familia, particularmente al esposo; a los usos y costumbres locales y a la sociedad patriarcal, por la que los padres heredan la tierra a los varones, que en el medio rural son los primeros en migrar. La mujer se queda a realizar largas jornadas de trabajo en el hogar, cuidar a los hijos y generar los ingresos para sostener a su familia, con este proposito se organizan, emprenden proyectos productivos para intentar superar la pobreza, mantener a la familia unida y generar en su comunidad una opcion real de empleo, con lo que demuestran que a pesar de las dificultades seran el modelo a seguir en este siglo."
