La segunda parte es un glosario de términos que desarrolla cómo se expresaban todas estas actividades en lengua latina, no sólo los vocablos de instrumentos, máquinas o técnicas de construcción concreta, sino las acciones, los procesos, la definición conceptual de diversas actividades y los nombres de los oficios que intervenían.En ambas partes hay un hilo conductor que son los textos, en latín la mayoría, aunque también con significativos pasajes en griego, todos ellos con versión en castellano.
