The Last Gospel of Christ can be described beautifully by the words of James Hefley who long ago wrote “Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the Child of a peasant woman. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty, and then for three years He was an itinerant (educated) preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never travelled two hundred miles from the place where He was born. And as the gospel is unfolded it clearly spells out that there are only two kind of Christians. And I'm not talking about Catholic or Protestant: For so it is that the only two kinds of followers are those who know that they're victorious no matter what, and then there's the kind of believer that doesn't know that at all. But it's very unfortunate that people in that group sadly settle for the mistaken belief that they've been defeated somehow. For they easily forget that Christ within them stands much taller, than the devil, who has already been long ago defeated at the cross. But it doesn't need to be said that even though those confused true followers might walk daily in defeat, they're still pretty big winners in our Lord God's sight due to their faith even though it might be the size of a mustard seed.

The Last Gospel is a Jansey novel that is driving the world crazy. The novel is a kind of new gospel narrated in the first person, divided into four chapters, each beginning with a different narrator (Mary, Joseph, Judas and Magdalene), which describe stages of their lives and Jesus' life. The chapter of Mary describes the events until Jesus' birth, the chapter of Joseph describes from childhood to the public ministry of Jesus, Judas describes the events of the Jesus' ministry till his crucifixion and Magdalene describes Jesus' death and resurrection. The difference of this novel is that it is full of historical information and completely devoid of any supernatural in the events nature, explaining the miracles from a human solution that enhance the divine mercy. The book is under review for publication in several other languages. Though written in the form of a novel, when asked about the contents of the book, Jansey replied that this is his Christology and that he would rather believe in Jesus as he is described in the work. Independently, it is a work of indelible strength, able to constrain the most faithful and to balance the structures of the church today.

What Christian would not want to hear Mark's gospel as the first believers heard it? Using the tools of modern scholarship, Peter's Last Sermon takes seriously Mark's audience. The community would have heard rather than read the gospel. It would have encountered the story as a whole instead of piecemeal in short texts for sermons. Missing would have been the static of Matthew, Luke, and John. As for the speaker? While most modern scholars table the question of authorship, the post-apostolic writers of the second and third centuries claim with one voice that (though penned by Mark) the gospel actually went back to Peter.
