Comparative Literature is changing fast with methodologies, topics, and research interests emerging and remerging. The fifth volume of ICLA 2016 proceedings, Dialogues between Media, focuses on the current interest in inter-arts studies, as well as papers on comics studies, further testimony to the fact that comics have truly arrived in mainstream academic discourse. "Adaptation" is a key term for the studies presented in this volume; various articles discuss the adaptation of literary source texts in different target media - cinematic versions, comics adaptations, TV series, theatre, and opera. E poi gli inizi come disegnatore, l'Argentina, l'Inghilterra, le molte donne e gli amici. Pratt prima di Corto e del successo internazionale. Aspettando Corto è un'autobiografia insolita. Raccontati con il ritmo della finzione letteraria, i ricordi sono modellati per rendere straordinario ciò che si legge. Pratt si ricorda bambino e, non senza un certo autocompiacimento, ben più consapevole degli adulti che lo circondano. Intuisce l'assurdità del regime e della sua traballante ideologia. Ma soprattutto Pratt si diverte a raccontare; sembra quasi volersi congratulare con se stesso per aver saputo succhiare la vita fino al midollo. È un Pratt malizioso e disinibito, vitale e riflessivo. Quello che emerge si trova poi nelle sue opere più grandi, e nei suoi personaggi più iconici. Da Corto al capitano Koïnsky.
