This is an open access book. The education sector during the Covid-19 Pandemic is currently undergoing a total reformation. The education process at schools and colleges which was carried out face-to-face has now turned into virtual face-to-face learning utilizing various platforms. Also, the Covid-19 Pandemic has impacted the research and development process in the field which must be delayed due to the risk of Covid-19 transmission. In regard to this, the educational process does not run optimally. In fact, education is the process of developing the future generation of a country that are supposed to supported by all parties while looking for solutions to the problems at hand. As part of social sciences, the objects of historical study include humans who are bound by the dimensions of space and time. This confirms that history is part of science that is tied to human life. Therefore, various policies taken by the government must also be reviewed from the past historical experience with adjustments to the conditions of the era. Moreover, historical experience will provide an idea that humans are always innovating to solve the problems they face, especially policies related to education and learning.Based on those problems, History Education Study Program of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta will hold an international conference on "Future Teaching and Learning: A Disruptive Innovation." The First International Conference on Science, Technology and Multicultural Education (ICOCIT-MUDA), initiated by Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah (UNIMUDA) Sorong. It was July 25th-26th, 2019, in Sorong, West Papua, Indonesia. Currently, the Rector of UNIMUDA Sorong is Rustamadji, Ph.D; he is the first rector of the university. He encouraged the Institute of Research, and Community Service to run the academic event. Then, the committee usefully run The First ICOCIT-MUDA as the premier event since the university convert from college to university. The First International Conference ICOCIT-MUDA was the collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Universitas Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama) and Forum Dosen Indonesia, West Papua. The conference was supported by generosity of Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan RI attend as Keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Bahrullah Akbar. Prof. Dr. Joko Harun (Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Indonesia) presents a paper as a Keynote Speaker. Moreover, he leads the scientific committee during the paper publication preparation. Dr. Andrianysah (Vice Rector Universitas Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama), also presented a paper on plenary session). The collaboration was supported by Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia (Prof. Dr Dato Yahaya Ibrahim), and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdul Nasir). Both universities send their academician to present paper as keynote speakers. Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Muhammadiyah Sorong was established on August 19, 2004. Then, July 5, 2018 converted to Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong. The Rector explained that the short name is UNIMUDA where the civitas academia is always young and the only one that they have spirit as young people.

The increasing demand for halal products, including goods and services, every year, especially for food and beverages, has resulted in a growing need for products with halal guarantees. Along with the increasing trend of the global demand, it has resulted in an increase in producers of halal food and beverages in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries. In addition the demand for halal tourism is also increasing. Indonesia is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. However, there are still many Muslim consumer actors and Muslim producer actors who do not yet have an awareness of the importance of complying with the provisions of Islamic law in consuming and producing goods and services. There are still many restaurants and hotels that serve food and drinks that are not certified halal. There are still many food, medicinal and cosmetic products that are not halal certified. But now many secular countries such as France, Canada, Australia, the United States, Britain are also halal certified with the aim of meeting the Muslim demand for halal products for food and beverage, including for halal tourism. Starting from the development of the halal industry both in the fields of food, beverages and services, an International Seminar was held, which provides a more complete understanding of halal products, current halal developments and can serve as motivation to produce halal products, providing research results from the topic of halal development. The international seminar, entitled International Conference on Halal Development, listed speakers from several countries able to provide an overview of the halal development of several countries. This book contains a selection of papers from the conference.
