Majid oukacha (l'auteur du livre, il était une foi, l'islam...) prétend avoir apostasié de l'islam vers 17-18 ans. Très actif sur youtube, ses vidéos sont extrêmement virulentes à l'égard de l'islam. Dans ce petit livre je ne vais pas répondre à toutes ses accusations mais apporter quelques réponses qui, importantes, vous éclairerons concernant son niveau exécrable. Vous constaterez que pour une personne qui prétend avoir étudié l'islam plusieurs années il n'est qu'un canular. Critiquer l'islam est très lucratif, et les pseudos spécialistes de l'islam, dans le contexte actuel, sont de plus en plus nombreux. Majid Oukacha ne connait pas l'islam. Il n'a jamais bénéficié d'une éducation islamique. Ses affirmations mensongères concernant l'islam sont très nombreuses. Beaucoup de personnes sur internet, hostiles à l'islam, le soutiennent avec acharnement, sans même vérifier s'il dit vrai ou non. Ce comportement est consternant et me fait penser au gros pot de merde qui attirerait toutes les mouches. La haine que partagent ses supporters, majoritairement islamophobes, ne rend nullement objectif. Des marionnettes facilement influençables sont les individus qui composent cette fachosphère. Majid oukacha refuse le débat avec les connaisseurs et bloque ceux qui le réfutent. Cet auteur s'enferme dans le monologue. Son refus d'accepter de débattre avec des musulmans connaisseurs démontre qu'il est très loin d'avoir le niveau dont il se vante. Il transpire la crainte d'être humilié en public. Il accepte, évidement, de parler avec les membres de l'extrême droite, qui eux, ne le réfuteront jamais. Ce petit aperçu, à lui seul, met clairement en avant le niveau d'oukacha. Lui qui prétend connaître le Coran ne l'a jamais correctement lu. Lui qui prétend connaître le Coran n'en comprend rien. Le Coran est à la base dans un arabe clair qu'oukacha ne maîtrise pas, ce qui fait de lui, une pitrerie. Notre époque, hostile à l'islam, aide à l'apparition de tels individus. Cette catégorie d'individus a le mérite de réveiller les musulmans, il faut le dire, endormis et végétatifs. Je n'irai pas jusqu'à remercier ce Majid oukacha, mais il est une cause de réveil. Pour résumer, seul un ignare de l'islam, sans volonté, sans soif de connaissance ou encore un haineux qui se voile la face peut tomber dans les pièges d'un prétendu auteur comme oukacha. Refusez l'ignorance, la haine, la paresse et lisez... Vérifiez ce qui est dit, les sources, les répliques, etc., et ne soyez pas dupes. Ne vous enfermez pas, qui que vous soyez, dans la platitude intellectuelle.

The oldest Islamic biography of Muhammad, written in the mid-eighth century, relates that the prophet died at Medina in 632, while earlier and more numerous Jewish, Christian, Samaritan, and even Islamic sources indicate that Muhammad survived to lead the conquest of Palestine, beginning in 634-35. Although this discrepancy has been known for several decades, Stephen J. Shoemaker here writes the first systematic study of the various traditions. Using methods and perspectives borrowed from biblical studies, Shoemaker concludes that these reports of Muhammad's leadership during the Palestinian invasion likely preserve an early Islamic tradition that was later revised to meet the needs of a changing Islamic self-identity. Muhammad and his followers appear to have expected the world to end in the immediate future, perhaps even in their own lifetimes, Shoemaker contends. When the eschatological Hour failed to arrive on schedule and continued to be deferred to an ever more distant point, the meaning of Muhammad's message and the faith that he established needed to be fundamentally rethought by his early followers. The larger purpose of The Death of a Prophet exceeds the mere possibility of adjusting the date of Muhammad's death by a few years; far more important to Shoemaker are questions about the manner in which Islamic origins should be studied. The difference in the early sources affords an important opening through which to explore the nature of primitive Islam more broadly. Arguing for greater methodological unity between the study of Christian and Islamic origins, Shoemaker emphasizes the potential value of non-Islamic sources for reconstructing the history of formative Islam.
