Intentional Play embraces a specific way of processing communication dynamics through a gaming tool, and it will help you communicate better with colleagues, friends, and even strangers. Framed around basic communication concepts, the game shows you how you're communicating, what you're doing, why you're doing it-and most importantly-how to make better choices to improve outcomes for yourself and others. Annie Werner, a corporate trainer, says the book "places the reader into real-world scenarios that force an individual to critically think, 'How would I honestly handle that situation? Am I effectively communicating?' What's great is that the reader realizes, 'I could be better.'" Some people love the game, but others are afraid of it or avoid it-but they do so at their own peril as it challenges participants to navigate complicated human dynamics and preserve communication integrity. You're not just thrown into the game: You'll learn the underlying concepts that will help you master it card by card. From there, it's up to you to apply what you've learned to communicate better and strengthen relationships by engaging in Intentional Play in everyday life.

The phrase "triumphing in the face of adversity" could have been especially created for Jamilla Govani. Few people can have a more inspiring story to tell-a tale that involves starting all over again after her life was shattered, almost literally overnight. At the tender age of ten, Jamilla suddenly found herself being spirited out of her beloved Uganda, her native country. Cowering in the back of a lorry, she and other members of her family endured a hazardous and terrifying journey to the airport with gunfire in the near distance. Her father and a couple of uncles and an aunt were left behind. Idi Amin had declared the remaining Asians stateless. Prince Sadruddin Agakhan, the commissioner to the UN, negotiated a safe haven for these Asians who were then evacuated to UN camps over countries in Europe. She was one of the lucky ones who made it-many didn't-and then the challenge of a lifetime awaited her. She was one of the 80,000 Asians expelled from Uganda by President Idi Amin, at the height of his brutal, despotic rule that represented one of the most shameful chapters in the history of mankind. Not only he expelled the Asians but had five hundred thousand Ugandans killed by his soldiers at no fault of their own. Jamilla and her family were among 30,000 Ugandan Asians who resettled in England, arriving in that country virtually penniless and with little more than the clothes they were standing up in. They had to start all over again. Forty years later, Jamilla can reflect on a life of great achievement on many fronts with the grace of the Almighty, clearing constant hurdles along the way that would have defeated many a weaker personality. Today she is an accomplished businesswoman and the mother of three beautiful children who are integrated into the British society with great pride. The scars have healed, but the memories always remain. Last year, Jamilla visited Uganda, the village where she grew up, and as she stood on the banks of Lake Kyogi, the world stood still, and the memories of her childhood flooded through. Despite seemingly every conceivable provocation, she has never lost her faith. Now, as she fights yet another great battle, she has taken time out to write her autobiography. For anyone seeking inspiration and evidence that life's challenges are there to be met head-on, they need look no further than Jamilla as their role model. When one door closes, another always opens.

Our destiny after death is the foundation of our religious thought. Religious taboos have spoiled man's pleasures and delights by inconveniencing him to obtain religious comfort. Religion is based on the interaction between the etheric and physical worlds. Psychic science was mysterious to our ancestors, and as a consequence, they misunderstood and misinterpreted it. The Apostle John helps to clear up these issues in this book. John was a medium for his book of Revelation. Angels like John were formerly human beings who have lived on earth and died. Now they continue functioning in another world of finer vibrations. Marilyn is the medium for this book. In the past, Moses, Joshua, King David, prophets, and biblical writers were all mediums. As we are entering a new age, the Apostle John shed the light of the coming changes for our world. This addresses the question of how the world transforms to a more loving environment for the future and how soon it will happen. Also, John revealed the ending of control by the "behind the scenes" Dark Side that has caused an endless succession of bloody conflicts and devastating turmoil throughout human history. The Apostle John also gave the following explosive revelations: - When the soul enters a baby - The church's control of divorce - The life of Jesus after the crucifixion - The assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy - Civilization on Mars - Reincarnation and its removal from the Bible - Earthbound souls Find out these and other fascinating truths from the Apostle John regarding the perplexing questions that have pervaded mankind through the ages.

Option B written by Sheryl Sandberg and has been published by Random House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-04-24 with Self-Help categories.
In 2015 Sheryl Sandberg’s husband, Dave Goldberg, died suddenly at the age of forty-eight. Sandberg and her two young children were devastated, and she was certain that their lives would never have real joy or meaning again. Just weeks later, Sandberg was talking with a friend about the first father-child activity without a father. They came up with a plan for someone to fill in. “But I want Dave,” she cried. Her friend put his arm around her and said, “Option A is not available. So let’s just kick the shit out of Option B.” Everyone experiences some form of Option B. We all deal with loss: jobs lost, loves lost, lives lost. The question is not whether these things will happen but how we face them when they do. Thoughtful, honest, revealing and warm, OPTION B weaves Sandberg’s experiences coping with adversity with new findings from Adam Grant and other social scientists. The book features stories of people who recovered from personal and professional hardship, including illness, injury, divorce, job loss, sexual assault and imprisonment. These people did more than recover—many of them became stronger. OPTION B offers compelling insights for dealing with hardships in our own lives and helping others in crisis. It turns out that post-traumatic growth is common—even after the most devastating experiences many people don’t just bounce back but actually bounce forward. And pre-traumatic growth is also possible: people can build resilience even if they have not experienced tragedy. Sandberg and Grant explore how we can raise strong children, create resilient communities and workplaces, and find meaning, love and joy in our lives. “Dave’s death changed me in very profound ways,” Sandberg writes. “I learned about the depths of sadness and the brutality of loss. But I also learned that when life sucks you under, you can kick against the bottom, break the surface and breathe again.”
