The Exploring Together Preschool Program (ETPP) is a parent education program for Indigenous parents referred with young children aged 4 to 6 with behaviour problems. It is a culturally adapted version of the Exploring Together Program, which had been developed in Melbourne in the 1990s and later adapted for use on the Tiwi Islands. The program is a 10 week course focusing on behaviour modification strategies, development of social skills in children, and fostering positive parent child interaction. The Let's Start project was a trial to implement the ETPP program in Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, across diverse urban and remote sites. This report presents an evaluation of the Let's Start project, including the development of the project, research methodology, program effectiveness, parent engagement and retention, and program sustainability and cost effectiveness.
