This book is a collection of thoughts, opinions of amateur authors about faiths, customs, their unique perspective about the traditions that we have been following since the past many decades. For some, it is a great medium to express their love for God, gratitude towards the nature, for others it is quite rigid quite a few times and in their opinion needs to be reformed. It is a variety of opinions about various aspects revolving around the term 'TRADITIONS'. What matters at the end is that we all have faith in "The One". Cause it is what counts the most that we own seeds of virtues like honesty, compassion, humane. After all, the whole idea of celebrating festivals, following traditions whole heartedly is three beautiful words. LOVE. PEACE. HUMANITY. Keep loving, have faith and be humane!

Tradition Alive written by Michael Plekon and has been published by Rowman & Littlefield this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003 with Religion categories.

Michael Plekon's Tradition Alive presents a collection of essays highlighting not only the vibrant tradition of 20th century Eastern Orthodox thought, but also the necessity of its inclusion in the theological canon constructed mainly by Western Christian thinkers. Ranging from the thought of the first generation of Russian émigrés to contemporary Eastern Orthodox theologians, the essays in Tradition Alive point toward a positive theology that is convinced of the immanence of the holy spirit despite a world torn apart by revolution, violence, and despair. The contributors profess their faith in the transforming presence of Christ and the divine dimensions of the church by looking to the meaning and power of tradition in the practices of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. By focusing on the Orthodox Church's ecclesial and liturgical character, the authors emphasize the living character of the Christian tradition. With many contributions difficult, if not impossible, to access until now, Tradition Alive presents a brave and distinctive effort to enliven Western theology by looking to the theology of the East.

All About The Sabbaths written by Unknown Hebrew and has been published by Unknown Hebrew this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-11-07 with Religion categories.

Have you ever noticed in the Old Testament history that every time the true worship of YAHUAH was restored in Israel or Judah, the keeping of ELOHIM's weekly Sabbath and His annual holy days was also resumed and emphasized? In 2nd Chronicles 30, we see an example of this; every time true worship was restored in ancient Israel or Judah, you saw the Sabbath command and the Holy Days observance. Recall, Josiah, this righteous King; what do you suppose happened in Judah after he died? Once again, Judah's people lost sight of ELOHIM; they lost sight of ELOHIM's commandments; they lost sight of the Sabbath command of YAHUAH's annual holy day and His seventh weekly day Sabbath. As a result, they ended up going into captivity. If we keep going forward in history during the days of their return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple (Ezra 6) when they again restored true worship, what did they do? They started keeping the annual holy days; they started following the Sabbath of YAHUAH (weekly and yearly Sabbaths); again, it is the same story. Similarly, we find this in the New Testament times. When we fail to observe ELOHIM's annual Sabbaths; we as a nation are without knowledge; we need to look at that Sabbath command and uphold it; emphasize it, and get back to the true worship of the Great Creator YAHUAH. Many people have different views about how the Sabbath day should be remembered and honored. It is critical that one of the first steps is to know the meaning of the word that ELOHIM chose to use. "Sabbath" is from the Hebrew word “Shabbat,” which means to cease to desist from something or to rest, to become inactive. Sabbath-keeping was not a new instruction for Israel; at Mount Sinai, ELOHIM had already set it up back in Eden. In the fourth commandment, YAHUAH told Israel to remember what had been their duty from the beginning: take a look at the book of Exodus 20:8-11, which says, “8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of YAHUAH thy ELOHIM: in it, thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days ELOHIM made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore ELOHIM blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” ELOHIM never set aside our duty to keep the creation Sabbath; after the resurrection, the Apostles continued to honor it, as did YAHUSHUA during his time here on earth. It is perpetual, forever to be kept; until the end. Please consider scrolling up and clicking the “buy now” button to learn more. This book is a must-read.

STAR - Studies in Theology and Religion, 3 This book contains the contributions to the first international conference organised by the Netherlands School for Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion (NOSTER), held in the Netherlands in January 1999. The conference theme was inspired by Eric Hobsbawm and Terence Ranger’s influentual volume, The Invention of Tradition. Their work provided a starting point for discussing formations and changes of religious traditions on the one hand, and the interaction of religious identities and the transformation of traditions on the other. After an introductory section discussing Hobsbawm’s definitions and his theoretical framework, and offering several critical applications of his framework to Christian traditions, the main part of this volume consists of three thematic sections: the theme of the Exodus, the earliest traditions about the Lord’s supper, and the modern “myth of Fundamentalism”. This volume will be of interest to all those engaged in the study of religious traditions and identities, and the way in which these interact. A damsel in distress takes on the dragon herself in this epic twist on classic fantasy. Based on a screenplay by Dan Mazeau, this is a groundbreaking collaboration between New York Times bestselling author Evelyn Skye and the team behind the upcoming Netflix film Damsel, starring Millie Bobby Brown. A price must be paid. Elodie never dreamed of a lavish palace or a handsome prince. As she grew up in the famine-stricken realm of Inophe, her deepest wish was to help her people survive each winter. So when a representative from a rich, reclusive kingdom offers her family enough wealth to save Inophe in exchange for Elodie’s hand in marriage, she accepts without hesitation. Swept away to the glistening kingdom of Aurea, Elodie is quickly taken in by the beauty of the realm—and of her betrothed, Prince Henry. But as Elodie undertakes the rituals to become an Aurean princess, doubts prick at her mind as cracks in the kingdom’s perfect veneer begin to show: A young woman who appears and vanishes from the castle tower. A parade of torches weaving through the mountains. Markings left behind in a mysterious V. Too late, she discovers that Aurea’s prosperity has been purchased at a heavy cost—each harvest season, the kingdom sacrifices its princesses to a hungry dragon. And Elodie is the next sacrifice. This ancient arrangement has persisted for centuries, leading hundreds of women to their deaths. But the women who came before Elodie did not go quietly. Their blood pulses with power and memory, and their experiences hold the key to Elodie’s survival. Forced to fight for her life, this damsel must use her wits to defeat a dragon, uncover Aurea’s past, and save not only herself but the future of her new kingdom as well.
