The writer has therefore endeavoured to avoid the minute ness which might render the subject tedious, and has only to add, that her information is derived from Reaumur's Memoires, Shaw's Lectures, and that interesting work, the In. Troduction to Entomology; from which, in fact, the principal accounts are taken, and in which the discoveries of other naturalists are collected in the most attractive form.
