In I Use To Fall Down, his first major compi-lation of his poems, which was favorably received, Mr. Holiday took the reader on a whirlwind of emotional topics, from nuclear proliferation(Washerwoman Blues) to starving children in Somalia (Il Walad), from police bru-tality (Rest In Peace, Cop Killers, and When the Cops Drive By) to reflections on his twenty-one years under the New York City foster care system(Somehow, Mama Knew, Stop Laughing At Me, and What Dad Might Have Said). He has attempted to be honest, some have said too brutally honest, about abuse, the very abuse he has experienced at the hands of care-takers and that abuse which he sees perpetrated by man against man. With Letters to Osama..., Mr. Holiday runs the gambit, again, of topics as current as the war over Iraq, the ugliness of 9-ll, and he continues to be brutally honest in his criticisms and observations of the Bush Administration, the UN, and other world leaders and the roles they play in the worlds conflicts(foreign and domestic). D. Alexander Holiday is a native New Yorker, raised in foster care and was stricken with Gillian Barre Syndrome (also called Ascending Paralysis) at the age of ten. He holds a Master of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He is currently working on his autobiography, In the Care of Strangers: The Autobiography of A Foster Child. 2015 Osama Bin Laden S Bookshelf written by Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-05-30 with categories.

This unique book provides a complete compendium reproduction of over 100 declassified documents and letters recovered during the raid on the compound used to hide Usama bin Ladin, released by the Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on May 20, 2015. The letters and documents cover everything from mundane matters to terrorism strategies, threats to the United States, and much more. There are also lists of documents and books found in the compound: Publicly Available U.S. Government Documents, English Language Books, Material Published by Violent Extremists and Terror Groups, Materials Regarding France, Media Articles, Other Religious Documents, Think Tank and Other Studies, Software and Technical Manuals, Other Miscellaneous Documents, and Documents Probably Used by Other Compound Residents. In addition, earlier releases include the complete set of declassified English-translated internal letters from Osama bin Laden from his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and a comprehensive report from the West Point Combating Terrorism Center with analysis of the al Qaeda communications. The introduction to the report, Letters from Abbottabad, states: This report is a study of 17 de-classified documents captured during the Abbottabad raid and released to the Combating Terrorism Center (CTC). They consist of electronic letters or draft letters, totaling 175 pages in the original Arabic and 197 pages in the English translation. The earliest is dated September 2006 and the latest April 2011. These internal al-Qa`ida communications were authored by several leaders, most prominently Usama bin Ladin. In contrast to his public statements that focused on the injustice of those he believed to be the "enemies" of Muslims, namely corrupt "apostate" Muslim rulers and their Western "overseers," the focus of Bin Ladin's private letters is Muslims' suffering at the hands of his jihadi "brothers". He is at pain advising them to abort domestic attacks that cause Muslim civilian casualties and focus on the United States, "our desired goal." Bin Ladin's frustration with regional jihadi groups and his seeming inability to exercise control over their actions and public statements is the most compelling story to be told on the basis of the 17 de-classified documents. "Letters from Abbottabad" is an initial exploration and contextualization of 17 documents that will be the grist for future academic debate and discussion. As a bonus, this compilation includes an important CRS report on Al Qaeda and its affiliates deals with historical perspectives, global presence, and implications for U.S. policy. There is extensive coverage of al Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula (AQAP), North Africa/Sahel: Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), East Africa, Somalia, Al Qaeda and Radical Islamist Extremists in Southeast Asia, Al Qaeda's Global Strategy and Implications for U.S. Policy, and more.

The death of Usama bin Ladin one year ago understandably generated a significant amount of interest in the professionals who carried out the raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on the night of May 2nd. Lost in the focus on this single mission is the fact that United States Special Operations Forces (SOF) have conducted thousands of comparable missions in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001. The success of "Neptune Spear" was the cumulative result of the experience, relentless focus and professionalism of a community that has been conducting these types of missions for over ten years.

In addition to Bin Ladin, the recognizable individuals who appear in the letters either as authors or as recipients are Atiyyatullah and Abu Yahya al-Libi, both of whom are al-Qaida leaders; Adam Yahya Gadahn, the American al-Qaida spokesman and media advisor; Mukhtar Abu al-Zubayr, the leader of the Somali militant group Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahidin; Abu Basir (Nasir al-Wuhayshi), the leader of the Yemen-based al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP); and Hakimullah Mahsud, the leader of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Given the small collection of documents released to the CTC, it is impossible to construct a coherent evolution of al-Qaida or its current state. "Letters from Abbottabad" is an initial exploration and contextualization of 17 documents that will be the grist for future academic debate and discussion."-- Publisher's website.

Messages To The World written by Osama bin Laden and has been published by Verso Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-05-05 with Political Science categories.

Despite the saturation of global media coverage, Osama bin Laden's own writings have been curiously absent from analysis of the "war on terror." Over the last ten years, bin Laden has issued a series of carefully tailored public statements, from interviews with Western and Arabic journalists to faxes and video recordings. These texts supply evidence crucial to an understanding of the bizarre mix of Quranic scholarship, CIA training, punctual interventions in Gulf politics and messianic anti-imperialism that has formed the programmatic core of Al Qaeda. In bringing together the various statements issued under bin Laden's name since 1994, this volume forms part of a growing discourse that seeks to demythologize the terrorist network. Newly translated from the Arabic, annotated with a critical introduction by Islamic scholar Bruce Lawrence, this collection places the statements in their religious, historical and political context. It shows how bin Laden's views draw on and differ from other strands of radical Islamic thought; it also demonstrates how his arguments vary in degrees of consistency, and how his evasions concerning the true nature and extent of his own group, and over his own role in terrorist attacks, have contributed to the perpetuation of his personal mythology.
