Eu tive meu interesse despertado para participar de um avivamento genuíno do Espírito Santo, bem antes de ocorrer a onda dos chamados avivamentos que varreu os EUA e o Brasil durante as duas últimas décadas do século passado. De modo que havia feito muita leitura sobre o assunto e trabalhado intensamente em oração e no ensino e pregação especialmente sobre justificação e santificação pela graça, mediante a fé, na expectativa de que visse ocorrendo em meus dias o mesmo que Deus havia feito no passado. De tudo o que vivi e que pude testemunhar quanto ao que estava ocorrendo aqui e no mundo, até a presente data, tudo o que posso dizer é que não vi nada que equivalesse ao testemunho registrado na história dos avivamentos.
