Discover life in the womb from the babys perspective! The news of a baby on the way can bring a range of emotions! For some immense joy and happiness, and for others mixed emotions. Because not all expectant parents are inclined to pick up technical manuals and brochures about fetal development, the author uses simple language and poetry to help foster an early bond between mother and child. While the book is written in a way that is both entertaining and educational, the real brilliance of this work is that it is relevant to a variety of audiences it's simple enough for children, and informative for expectant parents as well. Written from the unborn baby's point of view, The Miracle of Me underscores the reality that life begins at the moment of conception and gives the child a voice. It features a week-by-week account of how the baby grows and develops using rulers and scales as well as real in-utero photography, including famous photos from Lennart Nilsson;s collection to visually mark the baby's progress making it easy for the expectant parents to connect with their baby. And because the contents of the book are medically sound, it has been endorsed by many in the medical field, including Dr. Gerry Sotomayor, OB/GYN and Founder of Babies for Life Foundation. The Miracle of Me is an entertaining yet educational resource that captures the wonder of human life in the womb.

A pioneering birth psychologist combines a lifetime’s worth of research with new findings to provide a fascinating look inside the minds of unborn children In the past, the invisible physical processes of fetal development were mysterious and largely unexplainable. But thanks to breakthroughs in embryology, interuterine photography, ultrasound, and other sensitive instruments of measurement, we can now make systematic observations inside the womb—and can see that fetuses are fully sentient, aware beings. In this new climate of appreciation for the surprising dimensions of fetal behavior, sensitivity, and intelligence, Windows to the Womb brings a host of new information to light about the transformative journey each one of us undergoes in the womb. Birth psychologist Dr. David Chamberlain describes the amazing construction of our physical bodies—the "ultimate architecture"—and draws parallels with the expansion of our minds as our brains and senses develop and grow. He also details new discoveries in embryonic and fetal research that support his own findings on the impact of the mother's emotional and physical state during pregnancy; the importance of bonding at the earliest stages; and the steps that expectant parents can take to ensure the most nurturing start in life for their children.

Children are the foundation of the United States, and supporting them is a key component of building a successful future. However, millions of children face health inequities that compromise their development, well-being, and long-term outcomes, despite substantial scientific evidence about how those adversities contribute to poor health. Advancements in neurobiological and socio-behavioral science show that critical biological systems develop in the prenatal through early childhood periods, and neurobiological development is extremely responsive to environmental influences during these stages. Consequently, social, economic, cultural, and environmental factors significantly affect a child's health ecosystem and ability to thrive throughout adulthood. Vibrant and Healthy Kids: Aligning Science, Practice, and Policy to Advance Health Equity builds upon and updates research from Communities in Action: Pathways to Health Equity (2017) and From Neurons to Neighborhoods: The Science of Early Childhood Development (2000). This report provides a brief overview of stressors that affect childhood development and health, a framework for applying current brain and development science to the real world, a roadmap for implementing tailored interventions, and recommendations about improving systems to better align with our understanding of the significant impact of health equity.

Prenatal Communication Between Mother & Baby Translation by Seika Smith I STAYED STILL BECAUSE I FELT SORRY FOR YOU, MOMMY. Conceiving a child is one of life’s big dreams, involving both body and soul. Many mothers treasure memories such as their pregnancy, childbirth, and the moment when they finally held their baby. What if the baby himself could remember his time in the womb and his own birth? Perhaps little children might still remember. With that in mind, in 2000 the author conducted a survey of 79 mothers with children aged from 2 to 7 years. The results were beyond such memories. In the survey they also asked how the children reacted when they talked about their memories of being in the womb. When one mother asked her child, “Why didn’t you move very much inside my tummy?” the child answered, “Because you said ‘It hurts’. I stayed still because I felt sorry for you, Mommy.” (Boy – 4 years 9 months) AKIRA IKEGAWA was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1954. He is a Doctor of Medicine from the Teikyo University Medical School. After working in obstetrics and gynecology at the Ageo Central General Hospital as the head director, he established the Ikegawa Clinic in Yokohama in 1987. In September 2000, he spoke about “fetal memories” at the Joint Medical Seminar of the Japanese Medical and Dental Practitioners for Improvement of Medical Care, and this report was introduced in newspapers.

God's Pregnancy Blessings: Having a Healthy First Trimester of Motherhood By: Jennifer G. Portland M.D. The Blessings of Pregnancy Pregnancy is a gift; a work of nature. Some people consider it a blessing from God as it is the fruit of love between a man and a woman. From an academic perspective though, this process stays as an interestingly curious development of life that is part of what makes the world go round. It is where the sperm and the egg meet and in a methodical process called embryogenesis, a child is formed. For the human race, to be pregnant and bear a child means the continuation of life. As of 2012, 7.99 deaths occur per 1000 people globally per year. Of these deaths, 39.48 deaths out of 1000 newborns occur. This high and significant number of infant mortality blinks at everyone in bright red colors, asking for immediate resolution. This could be done by proper prenatal care not only for the growing life but also for the mother who is bearing such new life. This is possible if everyone will take some time to understand the wonders of pregnancy and what one could do to protect such. Among the stages of pregnancy, the first trimester is seen as the most critical stage of all. In the first three months, the mother is the most sensitive as her body seems to adjust to the changes. Here she will feel uncomfortable with her own self as her body forces itself to accommodate the new life in her womb. Meanwhile, the baby is still in the process of being formed, and its formation will only be successful if the mother provides the proper care and supplement it needs to complete its formation. It is therefore necessary for every couple---especially those who are planning to have their children for the first time, to carefully know everything about pregnancy---from planning, bearing, until giving birth. This way, you will be able to happily welcome a new life in your arms and into your family. This eBook will discuss everything that you need to know about pregnancy, more specifically during the first trimester where bearing a child is most critical. Later on in the book, you will understand everything about the fetus---from its creation until its development, and you will learn how to care not only for the new life but also for yourself as its bearer. You may be a First Time Pregnancy Mom .....
