La Fe de los Bautistas es una reproducción fidedigna del artículo de fe y práctica de la Iglesia Bautista Nueva Jerusalén de Bonao, República Dominicana, también revisado y aprobado por la comisión doctrinal de la Convención Bautista Dominicana como base para el manual de doctrina de dicha institución. Esta confesión de fe surge con la necesidad de llenar el vacío confesionario que arropa a la iglesia del siglo XXI, realidad mucho más profunda en el mundo latino. Nosotros creemos que tanto los creyentes de nuestra iglesia local como la gente en general debe estar clara sobre las doctrinas básicas de la Fe Cristiana. Como bien lo establece la Escritura: "Mi pueblo pereció porque le faltó conocimiento". (Oseas 4.6a) Si bien creemos impropio el mero confesionalismo, a la vez, nos parece necesario y saludable que toda iglesia de Dios posea una confesión de su fe clara, detallada y bien sustentada. Una confesión o artículo de fe es un mini tratado de los dogmas cristianos donde se sistematizan las principales doctrinas que cree una denominación, iglesia o institución cristiana. De ahí la razón de este libro en el cual plasmamos las principales doctrinas cristianas, con un análisis contemporáneo, habiendo consultado prácticamente todas las fórmulas de fe antiguas y modernas, y habiendo realizado foros y secciones de estudio en nuestra iglesia local por alrededor de 15 años, además de la retroalimentación de decenas de teólogos y pastores bautistas, con la finalidad de consensuar este contenido. Estas doctrinas fueron compiladas y editadas por el pastor Juan C. de la Cruz (PhD). Nueva Jerusalén es una Iglesia Bautista Bíblica de tendencia particularista. Esperamos que este esfuerzo sea de gran provecho a las iglesias, para la gloria de Dios.
