Il volume presenta gli atti di un ciclo di incontri rivolto agli studenti dell’ultimo anno delle lauree magistrali in Architettura-Progettazione Architettonica e Architettura-Restauro del Dipartimento di Architettura di Roma Tre, organizzato dai corsi congiunti di Progetto del restauro architettonico e Laboratorio di restauro del patrimonio architettonico (docenti Michele Beccu, Elisabetta Pallottino, Paola Porretta, Francesca Romana Stabile, con la collaborazione di Cecilia Cicconi e Sara D’Abate). Le conferenze, che si sono svolte dal 2016 al 2021, sono state pensate per mettere a confronto diversi temi legati alla cultura e al progetto del patrimonio negli ambiti della storia dell’architettura e dell’ingegneria, del restauro, della progettazione architettonica e dell’arte visiva, della museografia, dell’archeologia e degli studi sul paesaggio consolidato. I saggi sono stati selezionati anche con l’intento di mettere in evidenza le potenzialità di un rapporto cogente tra progettazione e lettura del contesto storico (culturale, insediativo, formale, costruttivo).
