Este libro analiza el cambio de estilo artistico a traves de la lectura de historiadores del arte y sociologos que han abordado el tema. Por que cambian los estilos en el arte? Que dicen los historiadores? Y que dicen los y las sociologas del arte? En este estudio se presentan a modo de estado de la cuestion, las principales teorias que han sido elaboradas al respecto y se abordan siete estilos: rococo, neoclasicismo, romanticismo, realismo, impresionismo, cubismo y surrealismo. El lector podra encontrar sentido a la dinamica del cambio social, aplicada al ambito artistico cruzando dos disciplinas que en terminos reales provienen del mismo tronco: la sociologia y la historia del arte.
