This ode to family depicts the special influence of a young boyÍs grandparents in his life. His voice rings as he catalogs the various ways his grandparents impact him. Through gentle verse, Caraballo strings the joys of this quiet relationship: weekends spent throwing parties in the kitchen with delectable desserts, strolls to the museums and historic sites, and sprinting through the spray of a water hose in the backyard. Set in Puerto Rico, the book, too, pays homage to a unique childhood on the island, colored by descriptions of El Morro, the cruise-liners and big freighters in the ocean, and frolicking in the sea with stingrays. The verses sparkle with this island song, flitting from the joys of the seaside to the cool nights under the stars. Caraballo introduces the reader, aged 3 to 7, to a strong grandparent and grandchild relationship. Complemented by vibrant illustrations, this is a book to share with a child on a very special day.

The Diary Of Geza Csath written by Géza Csáth and has been published by Angelusz & Gold Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002 with Authors, Hungarian categories.

An acclaimed neurologist widely viewed as Hungary's first contemporary author, Csath was also a morphine addict who shot and killed his wife before doing away with himself. The Diary begins as a clinically graphic depiction of Csath's conquest of dozens of women -- from chambermaids to aristocrats -- during his tenure as a doctor at a Slovakian health spa in 1912. All the while, he is engaged to Olga Honas, a Jewish girl he places above all other women in sensuality but considers 'entirely without moral taste'. Csath regularly injects morphine and opium to increase his enjoyment of certain events and lessen the discomfort of others. The second half of the diary is his harrowing descent into hopeless narcotic addiction. The effect is heightened by Csath's unsparing honesty and acute powers of self-observation. 'The Diary of Geza Csath' is introduced by Arthur Phillips and includes an essay by Dezso Kosztolanyi, summarising Csath's strange, unfinished life. Translated from Hungarian by Peter Reich. Includes period photographs, chronology and a map. Recommended for readers of Stendahl, Burroughs, Bulgakov, De Quincey, Casanova.
