Igual que "la iglesia del Dios viviente" deben ser "columna y baluarte de la verdad" (1 Ti. 3:15). En su lugar, han construido una fachada que no ofrece apoyo, sostiene poco peso y se queda lejos de alcanzar las alturas que Dios diseñó para la iglesia y que desea que la iglesia alcance. Una vida saludable para la iglesia solo se origina en una actitud espiritual adecuada por parte de sus miembros (cf. Dt. 30:6; Mt. 22:37; Mr. 12:32-35; He. 10:22). El deseo ferviente del apóstol Pablo, por el que trabajaba y oraba con tanta diligencia era que Jesucristo fuera formado plenamente en la vida de cada uno de aquellos a quienes ministraba: "Hijitos míos, por quienes vuelvo a sufrir dolores de parto, hasta que Cristo sea formado en vosotros" (Gá. 4:19). Amplió ese concepto cuando animó a los colosenses diciéndoles: "La palabra de Cristo more en abundancia en vosotros, enseñándoos y exhortándoos unos a otros en toda sabiduría, cantando con gracia en vuestros corazones al Señor con salmos e himnos y cánticos espirituales" (Col. 3:16). Dios desea obrar en la vida íntima del creyente. Por lo tanto, la meta de todos los pastores y líderes espirituales de la iglesia debe ser ver vidas transformadas. Todo ministerio y actividad de adoración que realizan debe motivar a las personas a pensar bíblicamente.
