Al examinar las páginas de este libro, que aborda una temática que sin duda representa un ícono de la historia valdiviana y del sur de Chile, nos encontramos con un relato sencillo, directo y tremendamente didáctico de lo que fue este hecho que marcó un antes y un después en la historia de los fenómenos naturales a nivel nacional y mundial.
