Emotions affect all of us in different ways. Lost & Found: Poems of Life and Love, Lyn Beyer's debut collection of poetry, is a collage of feelings. We have all lost loved ones in death and in the changing of our paths in life or love. We have also rediscovered love and life is good again. Relive your LOST loves and your new loves FOUND in these pages. Capturing these emotions and feelings that everyone has and putting them to verse is a labor of love. The author wants the reader to be able to see themselves in these poems. To see and feel with your heart those life experiences that have created your personality as it relates to being LOST or FOUND. In or out of love. With someone or alone. In mourning or celebration. In these verses, hope and loss are both recalled. The lines allow the reader's mind to wander to private places and endless dreams. Losing love and falling in love are emotional highs and lows that follow us each day. LOST and FOUND recalls those moments to our memories and let's us know that we are not alone. Some days memories are all we have. The poems on these pages allow your imagination to carry you away. It is the author's fondest wish that these musings touch your heart. It is a journey worth taking and not a destination.

“Eros opens up how the Good News of Jesus Christ contains, amongst its many, many implications, the possibility of openness and truth-telling about love between people of the same sex. These are part of the one, same communication of grace and mercy coming towards us from God. The friends and colleagues who Eros has brought together here show us something of what it looks like to have found yourself forced, by love, to stand your ground, and how the wolf deflates when it is faced with such faith.” James Alison (Theologian, priest and author) “In this book, another revolution is underway in gay Christians. Describing faith in the light of their ‘sinful’ sexuality is part of the transformative revolution of the gospel itself. As you read this book, I hope you will see what I mean by hearing what these writers say. Regardless of your own sexual preference, if your faith is not deepened by seeing how their faith became more authentic as a result of their existential and social ordeals, please read them again.” Laurence Freeman OSB. (Director, World Community for Christian Meditation) “In this book you will find stories which reflect the great variety of gay Catholics’ experiences: stories of hurt but also of healing, stories of hiding but also of courage to speak the truth, stories of conflict between personal experience and official teaching, and attempts to bridge that gap. I pray that this book will have a wide readership, and that all who read it will grow in courage to speak their own truth and to help the Church develop its ministry in this important area.” Mgr Keith Barltrop (Diocese of Westminster chaplain to LGBT people) “This is a profoundly important book which gives voice to Chinese LGBTQI+ Catholics living inside and outside of China. These testimonies are hugely insightful into the heartfelt desires and hopes and anguishes of Chinese men and women. The struggle of ‘coming out of the cabinet’, to live an open and authentic life as a gay person is an ongoing battle. Their stories, which we can all identify with to some degree, makes for compulsive reading. I cannot recommended this work by Eros highly enough.” Ruby Almeida (Co-chair, Global Network of Rainbow Catholics) “The stories in this book may challenge people to look at themselves and their faith in new ways. While that may be difficult, it is a good thing, and should be looked on as a gift from God. It is through these sharing of stories that our Church and our faith develop. May these stories help to bring light to our Church and to our world!” Francis DeBernardo (Executive director, New Ways Ministry)

This innovative volume on the mourning process, burial rites and intimations of immortality offers diverse Jungian, cross-cultural, interdisciplinary, depth-psychological perspectives, written predominantly by graduates and candidates of the CG Jung Institute Zürich. The themes of this book are particularly relevant as they relate to the COVID-19 pandemic and other environmental disasters, when so many people die without a proper burial and are, thus, not properly commemorated with their status value. The contributors cover a wide range of subjects from their clinical observations attached to grief and loss in the prolonged mourning process, the meaning behind burial rites in cyclical and linear temporalities and an analysis of why certain dead are excluded from becoming ancestors. Unconscious processes such as dreams, archetypes and cultural complexes from the personal and collective unconscious are also presented and explored. This collection will be of great interest to interdisciplinary academic researchers, Jungian analysts and students, psychoanalysts, psychotherapists, anthropologists, cultural theorists and students interested in the mourning process, rites of passage, past and present burial practices and the imaginative, symbolic significance of the land of the dead.

Hamlet Protestantism And The Mourning Of Contingency written by John E. Curran Jr and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-04-22 with Literary Criticism categories.

Building on current scholarly interest in the religious dimensions of the play, this study shows how Shakespeare uses Hamlet to comment on the Calvinistic Protestantism predominant around 1600. By considering the play's inner workings against the religious ideas of its time, John Curran explores how Shakespeare portrays in this work a completely deterministic universe in the Calvinist mode, and, Curran argues, exposes the disturbing aspects of Calvinism. By rendering a Catholic Prince Hamlet caught in a Protestant world which consistently denies him his aspirations for a noble life, Shakespeare is able in this play, his most theologically engaged, to delineate the differences between the two belief systems, but also to demonstrate the consequences of replacing the old religion so completely with the new.
