“মাহযার নামা” সেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঐতিহাসিক দলিল, যা আহমদীয়া জামা’ত ১৯৭৪ সনে পাকিস্তানের জাতীয় সংসদের পূর্ণ হাউস সমন্বয়ে গঠিত বিশেষ কমিটির সামনে নিজেদের মুসলমান হবার, নিজেদের মৌলিক ধর্মীয় বিশ্বাসসমূহ ব্যাথ্যা-বিশ্লেষণসহ প্রাণ্জলভাবে তুলে ধরার এবং এই জামা’তের বিরুদ্ধে উত্থাপিত অমূলক অপবাদসমূহ খণ্ডনের উদ্দেশ্যে উপস্থাপন করেছিল। আর গোড়াতেই এ বিষয়টি সুস্পষ্ট করে দেয়া হয়েছিল যে, জামা’তে আহমদীয়ার মতে দুনিয়ার কোনও সংসদ বা আদালত কোনও ব্যাক্তি বা জামাত ও সম্প্রদায়ের ধর্ম বিশ্বাস নিরূপণ ও নির্ধারণের আদৌ কোন অধিকার রাখে না। কেননা এরূপ এখতিয়ার ও অধিকার একমাত্র খোদাতা’লারই, যিনি মানব হৃদয়ের গোপন রহস্য সম্বন্ধে অবগত। তেমনিভাবে মর্মান্তিক বেদনা ভরা ভাষায় এ বিষয়টির সম্পর্কেও সতর্ক করে দেয়া হয়েছিল যে, ঐ সংসদ যেন আহমদীদেরকে অমুসলিম বলে আখ্যায়িত ক’রে মুসলিম উম্মাহর একতায় ফাটল ধরাবার কারণ না হয়। কেননা, এর দ্বারা এরূপ এক ভ্রান্ত ও ভয়াবহ দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করা হবে, যা পরবর্তী কালে অন্যান্য ফির্কা ও সম্প্রদায়গুলিকেও এর আওতায় ফেলতে পারে । এই মাহযার নামাটি, যা প্রারম্ভেই পেশ করা হয়েছিল এবং সংসদ সদস্যদের মধ্যে বিতরণ করা হয়েছিল, তা কোন সংসদ সদস্য পরবর্তীকালে নিজেদের আহমদী বন্ধুদের কাছে অনুগ্রহপূর্বক সরবরাহ করেন । সুতারাং ঐ কপিগুলির মধ্যে একখানা কপি ইংল্যান্ড আহমদীয়া মুসলিম জামা’তের কাছেও পৌছায়, যার উপর ভিত্তি করে এই পুস্তকটি প্রকাশিত হলো। ইংল্যান্ড জামা’তে আহমদীয়ার প্রত্যাশা যে, সত্যান্বেষীগণ ইহা পাঠ করে সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে সক্ষম হবেন, আহমদীয়া মুসলিম জামা’তকে অ-মুসলমান বলে আখ্যায়িত করার সিদ্ধান্তটি কতটা ন্যায়সঙ্গত এবং ইসলামসম্মত।
