Es mangelt nach wie vor an historisch-systematischen Untersuchungen, die den Zeitraum vom letzten Drittel des 18. Jahrhunderts bis zur Gegenwart erfassen. Zumindest für den Zeitraum von 1945 bis zur Gegenwart versucht die vorliegende Studie das bestehende Desiderat zu beseitigen.
