Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Man wird immer häufiger mit dem Begriff „Rating“ konfrontiert. Das Thema genießt derzeit eine große Aufmerksamkeit, die öffentlichen Diskussionen nehmen immer mehr zu und laufen „heiߓ – nicht nur in den Fachkreisen. Den Empfehlungen des Basler Ausschusses folgend werden in Zukunft Ratings eingesetzt, um die Gewichtung der Risiken bei den Unternehmen zu ermitteln. Die Kredite bzw. die Kreditkonditionen werden je nach dem ermittelten Risikogewicht gestaltet und vergeben. „Nicht die Banken, sondern das Unternehmen ist für sein Rating verantwortlich, da sich im Ratingurteil auch die Leistungsfähigkeit eines Unternehmens wiederspiegelt wird.“ Oft wissen die Unternehmen gar nicht oder nur ungenau, was unter Rating zu verstehen ist, was es mit sich bringt und welche Auswirkungen es für ihre Zukunft haben kann bzw. haben wird. Deshalb ist es sehr wichtig zu wissen, welche Gefahren/Risiken aber auch Potentiale sich hinter dem Rating verbergen, um die Notwendigkeit eines Handlungsbedarfs zu erkennen. Durch eine frühzeitigen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Rating und einer gründlichen Vorbereitung, die sowohl wichtig wie auch hilfreich ist, vermeidet man von der kommenden Rating-“Lawine“ überrollt zu werden, welche unaufhaltsam und unausweichlich auf die Unternehmen zukommt. Der Unternehmer muss erkennen, was er gewinnt, wenn er sein Unternehmen ganzheitlich auf den Prüfstand stellt – was er über sein Unternehmen erfährt – und wie er diese Erkenntnisse für sich nutzen kann – soll – muss. Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die Unternehmer und Unternehmen für dieses Thema zu sensibilisieren und zu mobilisieren. Die Arbeit soll als eine Hilfestellung für die Vorbereitungsphase dienen. Es sind die ersten notwendigen Schritte, welche sie als Unternehmen einleiten müssen. Außerdem sollen Denkanstöße bzw. ein Umdenken vermittelt werden. Es erfolgt eine Bestandsaufnahme der Ist-Situation, wodurch mögliche Schwachstellen und der darausfolgende Handlungsbedarf aufgedeckt und abgeleitet werden können. Die Arbeit vermittelt dem Unternehmer die Grundidee, und soll zeigen, was auf ihn zukommt, welche Bereiche, Kriterien und in welchem Ausmaß diese durch den Check-up abgedeckt werden. Der Unternehmer muss vor dem Rating zuerst sich selbst vorbereiten, da seine Zusammenarbeit und Mithilfe wichtig und für die Ergebnisse von großer Bedeutung sind.
