Individual meal planning merupakan buku yang berisi pengaturan makan individu sehat dewasa. Pedoman gizi seimbang untuk orang Indonesia telah diatur oleh Kementerian Kesehatan yang tertuang dalam buku Pedoman Gizi Seimbang tahun 2014, Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 41 Tahun 2014 tentang Pedoman Gizi Seimbang, dan digambarkan sebagai tumpeng gizi seimbang. Pedoman ini merupakan perubahan/ perkembangan dari 4 sehat 5 sempurna. 2. Menghitung kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi sesuai dengan kebutuhan individu. Kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi, terutama zat gizi makro tiap individu berbeda-beda. Hal ini dikarenakan kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi makro dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin, umur, berat badan, tinggi badan, dan aktivitas fisik. 3. Menerjemahkan hasil perhitungan kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi dalam porsi makan dan menu makan sehari-hari. Poin ini sangat penting sekali, karena energi dan zat gizi makro yang telah dihitung sulit diaplikasikan oleh individu jika tidak diterjemahkan dalam porsi makan sehari-hari atau dalam bentuk menu. Buku ini membahas lebih lengkap pembagian porsi makan berdasarkan kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi individu. 4. Memilih jenis zat gizi dan bahan makanan sesuai dengan kebutuhan individu.
