In the next 10 years through to 2024, 1 Billion jobs will be taken over by machines. Google cars will replace taxis. IBM's Watson will replace customer service staff. We cannot out-reason the machines. We must change the way we teach, the way we parent and the role of "I don't know" in our society. I ask for your help. I will ask for your commitment not to say "I know", when you don't. I will ask you to use "I don't know" more. Let's let our connected intuition have the space it needs to work as it was originally designed.

For many children much of the time their experience in classrooms can be rather dull, and yet the world the school is supposed to initiate children into is full of wonder. This book offers a rich understanding of the nature and roles of wonder in general and provides multiple suggestions for to how to revive wonder in adults (teachers and curriculum makers) and how to keep it alive in children. Its aim is to show that adequate education needs to take seriously the task of evoking wonder about the content of the curriculum and to show how this can routinely be done in everyday classrooms. The authors do not wax flowery; they present strong arguments based on either research or precisely described experience, and demonstrate how this argument can be seen to work itself out in daily practice. The emphasis is not on ways of evoking wonder that might require virtuoso teaching, but rather on how wonder can be evoked about the everyday features of the math or science or social studies curriculum in regular classrooms.

How activist groups across the country adapted their strategies and tactics to their local contexts to keep the protests alive On January 21, 2017, the day after Trump's inauguration, feminist activists and allies across many progressive movements assembled across the United States to express their displeasure with the new President and his agenda. These marches were unprecedented in size, bringing together as many as 5.3 million Americans, with at least 408 protests in cities and towns across the country. These protests were large and dramatic, and had an outsized impact. But, they do not tell the whole story of this wave of contention. Keeping the March Alive follows thirty-five progressive groups founded after the Women’s March across ten cities from Amarillo and Atlanta to Pasadena and Pittsburgh to tell the whole story of how some social movement organizations survive and thrive while others falter. Catherine Corrigall-Brown explains how activists navigate their local context and make strategic decisions about tactics, coalitions, individual participation, and online technologies to keep their movements alive. Movements that had the most success in keeping members engaged and active were those that were able to adjust their strategies to their particular local contexts. While in larger and more liberal cities, engaging in expressly political coalitions and cooperating only with other social movement organizations was the most successful strategy, fostering broad coalitions among churches, charities, and businesses was most successful in smaller, more conservative cities. Keeping the March Alive is instrumental in understanding how activism and activist groups can be sustained over time and how larger protest movements can last.

This is a book about how and why people do life as they do. It is as well a book about how people could or should think about doing life for the benefit of their own well-being and that of the people they associate with. It is a book about how our feelings and our thinking interfere with how we could be doing the life we dream of. It is a book about the mistakes we make in doing life, and how we could avoid those mistakes. It is a book about what causes us to be the way we are. It is a book about why we often cant do life as we wish. It is about the personal dragons that stand in our way. And it is about how the real world outside of us can frequently frustrate even our best intentions. It is about ramping up for doing life, and then trying to understand why our lives so often turn out in ways we had neither anticipated nor desired. It is about how getting involved with others means our lives are forever altered. It is about why that could be a good thing or a bad thing, and how to best figure that out in advance. It is a book about frustration and regret, about pleasure and pain. It is about participating in lifes trials and tribulations by choice. It is the kind of book you can use to maximize your choices about doing life as you would have it done, and about mastering the influences of what happens in the world around you. It is about undoing the life you have in order to be able to do life the way it should be done.

Destined to become the bible for a bold new subculture of eco-minded people who are creating a lifestyle out of recycling, reusing, and repurposing rather than buying new. An exciting new movement is afoot that brings together environmentalists, anticonsumerists, do-it-yourselfers, bargain-hunters, and treasure-seekers of all stripes. You can see it in the enormous popularity of many websites: millions of Americans are breaking free from the want-get-discard cycle by which we are currently producing approximately 245 million tons of waste every day (that's 4.5 pounds per person, per day!). In The Scavengers' Manifesto, Anneli Rufus and Kristan Lawson invite readers to discover one of the most gratifying (and inexpensive) ways there is to go green. Whether it's refurbishing a discarded wooden door into a dining-room table; finding a bicycle on freecycle.org; or giving a neighbor who just had a baby that cute never-used teddy bear your child didn't bond with, in this book Rufus and Lawson chart the history of scavenging and the world-changing environmental and spiritual implications of "Scavenomics," and offer readers a framework for adopting scavenging as a philosophy and a way of life.

"The Liberal Rednecks--a three-man stand-up comedy group doing scathing political satire--celebrate all that's good about the South while leading the Redneck Revolution and standing proudly blue in a sea of red. Smart, hilarious, and incisive, the Liberal Rednecks confront outdated traditions and intolerant attitudes, tackling everything people think they know about the South--the good, the bad, the glorious, and the shameful--in a laugh-out-loud funny and lively manifesto for the rise of a New South. Home to some of the best music, athletes, soldiers, whiskey, waffles, and weather the country has to offer, the South has also been bathing in backward bathroom bills and other bigoted legislation that Trae Crowder has targeted in his Liberal Redneck videos, which have gone viral with over 50 million views. Perfect for fans of Stuff White People Like and I Am America (And So Can You), The Liberal Redneck Manifesto skewers political and religious hypocrisies in witty stories and hilarious graphics--such as the Ten Commandments of the New South--and much more! While celebrating the South as one of the richest sources of American culture, this entertaining book issues a wake-up call and a reminder that the South's problems and dreams aren't that far off from the rest of America's"--

The rest of SEX POWER MONEY book will be based on the Russia invasion of Ukraine (special military operation). After the western media reported about what is going on in Ukraine, the western media is hiding all the facts and information as usual to blind or keep the world into darkness about the actual causes and reasons why the invasion of Ukraine happens. After reviewing, not only the western media information about the invasion, but also independent sources; I see there are big differences. I find out some of the independent sources are more reliable to give us good insight about the Ukraine invasion. As usual viewer discretion is advised.

This “witty and droll” collection of philosophical tweets from the popular @NeinQuarterly offers a “perfect antidote to relentless positivity” (Publishers Weekly). “Rome didn’t burn in a day.” —Nein. A Manifesto Eric Jarosinski is the self-described “failed intellectual” behind @NeinQuarterly, a “Compendium of Utopian Negation” that uses the aphoristic potential of Twitter to plumb the existential abyss of modern life. In Nein. A Manifesto, Jarosinski collects his finest meditations on modern misery. Stridently hopeless and charmingly dour, Nein. A Manifesto is an irreverent philosophical investigation into our most—and least—urgent questions. Inspired by the aphorisms of Nietzsche, Karl Kraus, Walter Benjamin, and Theodor W. Adorno, Jarosinski’s short-form style reinvents philosophy for a world doomed to distraction. Critical thinkers, lovers of language, bibliophiles, manics, and depressives alike will be drawn to this compelling, witty, and often hilarious translation of digital into print, theory into praxis, and tragedy into farce. [REVIEWS] “I hate Twitter, I think it should be prohibited—but Jarosinski’s Nein. is the only exception, the only reason that justifies it! He is like a radical Norman Bates from Psycho intervening with his tweets which are like fast cuts with a knife!” —Slavoj Žižek “Witty and droll . . . There are gems on nearly every page. The book might seem tongue-in-cheek, but Jarosinski’s cynical aphorisms about philosophy, art, language, and literature hold plenty of truth. It is the perfect antidote to the relentless positivity of the stereotypical self-help manual.” —Publishers Weekly “A hilarious manifesto of dystopian epigrams. Nein. is the devil on your shoulder, now on your shelf.” —Ben Schott, author of Schott’s Miscellany and Schottenfreude: German Words for the Human Condition “Nein. celebrates everything that it negates. It is quietly, joyously bleak. Will you enjoy it? Perhaps better to ask: can you be certain that you’ve ever enjoyed anything?” —MC Frontalot
