Depois de expor os fundamentos da Ordem e Caos na obra de Peterson, o autor o insere na tradição filosófica que meditou sobre o mesmo tema para então contextualizá-lo em momentos cruciais da cultura ocidental até levar o leitor ao último capítulo, quando da teoria se passa à prática, com uma resposta à pergunta: "Como isso pode ajudar em minha vida?"
