"Dark Art Movement" Is an art movement resorted to by artists who prefer to express their thoughts and feelings in mysterious ways. In this field of art, artists provide us the opportunity to observe those thoughts that we don't like to think about in our daily lives from a different point of view. This mysterious place is a little dark, a little twisted but it has a magnetic aura that draws us in. Believing in the diversity of art, we have created this project to bring together these mysterious minds who produce unorthodox art by giving space to the artists who will present the best examples of dark art in this book. Our aim in this book is to shed light on the importance of dark art in today's world and to show both art lovers and art collectors that there can be fascinating works outside of the mainstream branches of art, while also increasing awareness about dark art. And to inspire more artists in this field as well. Let's not forget that darkness is needed for there to be light so allow us to shine this dark light upon all of you art lovers out there. As Marvelous Art Gallery; we are so grateful to all the artists who are with us in this project. We were able to bring this to life thanks to you.

Anti Book written by Nicholas Thoburn and has been published by U of Minnesota Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-12-15 with Literary Criticism categories.

No, Anti-Book is not a book about books. Not exactly. And yet it is a must for anyone interested in the future of the book. Presenting what he terms “a communism of textual matter,” Nicholas Thoburn explores the encounter between political thought and experimental writing and publishing, shifting the politics of text from an exclusive concern with content and meaning to the media forms and social relations by which text is produced and consumed. Taking a “post-digital” approach in considering a wide array of textual media forms, Thoburn invites us to challenge the commodity form of books—to stop imagining books as transcendent intellectual, moral, and aesthetic goods unsullied by commerce. His critique is, instead, one immersed in the many materialities of text. Anti-Book engages with an array of writing and publishing projects, including Antonin Artaud’s paper gris-gris, Valerie Solanas’s SCUM Manifesto, Guy Debord’s sandpaper-bound Mémoires, the collective novelist Wu Ming, and the digital/print hybrid of Mute magazine. Empirically grounded, it is also a major achievement in expressing a political philosophy of writing and publishing, where the materiality of text is interlaced with conceptual production. Each chapter investigates a different form of textual media in concert with a particular concept: the small-press pamphlet as “communist object,” the magazine as “diagrammatic publishing,” political books in the modes of “root” and “rhizome,” the “multiple single” of anonymous authorship, and myth as “unidentified narrative object.” An absorbingly written contribution to contemporary media theory in all its manifestations, Anti-Book will enrich current debates about radical publishing, artists’ books and other new genre and media forms in alternative media, art publishing, media studies, cultural studies, critical theory, and social and political theory.

When there is a disease outbreak, as is often the case in apocalyptic movies, the first person infected is referred to as patient zero. One moment you are minding your own business cleaning the cage of a genetically modified monkey, the next you are a zombie infecting humanity with your sickness as armageddon ensues. So it goes. What would be the utopian equivalent of patient zero? If one person can trigger an epidemic, could a single person also transform the world for the better? Someone like that would have to see the world differently, to think differently, and behave in ways that would surprise us. User Zero is a journey inside your minds to find that long-lost world-altering ability.

Pushing Back written by John Kinsella and has been published by Transit Lounge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-02-01 with Fiction categories.

'The tall trees nearby called them up and red-tailed black cockatoos carried messages to them that they told no one else about.' Pushing Back is John Kinsella's most haunting and timely fiction to date. It is populated with eccentric, compelling characters, drifters, unlikely friendships, the silences of dissolving relationships, haunted dwellings and lonely highways, the ghosts of cleared bushland and the threats of right-wing nationalists and senseless destruction. A couple make love in an abandoned asbestos house, a desperate carpet cleaner beholden to the gig economy begs a financially distressed client not to cancel his booking, an addict cannot bear to see his partner without the watch he once gave her, a mother casts her shearer son's ashes on the property on which he worked, fascists pile into a little red car with the intent of terrorising tourists on the Nullarbor, a man more at home with machinery than people rescues a drowning kitten. Yet throughout this assured distillation of contemporary Australian life, empathy rises like the red- tailed black cockatoos that appear and reappear, nature coalescing with the human spirit, the animals, the trees, the land, the people pushing back. These stories are at once disturbing, tender and hopeful. 'One of the nation's most significant living writers.' — Tony Hughes-d'Aeth, Australian Book Review

Swoon written by Swoon (Graffiti artist) and has been published by ABRAMS this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-04 with Art categories.

Artist Caledonia Curry is known as Swoon to admirers who follow her work on streets and in galleries all over the world. She is perhaps best known for the life-sized prints and figural paper cutouts she has pasted on walls for the past ten years, each portrait taking on a new life as it is slowly destroyed by the elements. Much of Swoon's work is like this - beautiful and powerful but ephemeral. Her projects are often grand in scope, requiring months of preparation and huge numbers of collaborators to make them a reality. And then they disappear. Deitch Projects owner Jeffrey Deitch provides an introduction to the artist and her work, and other contributors include: culture critic and curator Carlo McCormick, Nonsense NYC editor Jeff Stark, journalist and Toyshop-member Rollo Romig, gallery director Thomas Beale, and playwright LIsa D'Amour. Swoon herself writes the captios and an essay on her Miss Rockaway project.
