Hace algunos años, mientras estaba sirviendo al Señor en el campo misionero, recibí la felice noticia de que un amado miembro familiar se iba a casar. Luego, para mi agradable sorpresa, me pidió que regresara a mi país por breve tiempo con el propósito de que pudiera oficiar la boda. Después de aceptar la invitación, me di cuenta de la gran responsabilidad que estaba emprendiendo por ayudar a fundar un nuevo hogar para la gloria de Dios. Así que con la dedicación a la Palabra de Dios como pastor y por el amor familiar, empecé a estudiar las Escrituras para mostrarles el ejemplo más claro del matrimonio bíblico y que esta joven pareja pudiera aprender y seguir su ejemplo. Mi objetivo fue suministrar un fundamento firme para su relación antes de la boda con el propósito de que estuvieran preparados para la futura vida que Dios les presentaba a ellos. A través de esa búsqueda fue que Dios me llevó al principio--el principio de hombre y mujer, y el principio del matrimonio. Porque "en el principio... creó Dios al hombre a su imagen ... y ... hizo una mujer, y la trajo al hombre." (Génesis1:1, 27, 2:22). Ahora tengo el privilegio de compartir contigo lo que con amor compartí con ésos amados míos cuando se estaban preparando para entrar en un Pacto Matrimonial delante de Dios y los hombres. Estas verdades bíblicas son acompañadas por ilustraciones y aplicaciones prácticas con el propósito de que el ser amado y tú puedan crecer en el conocimiento de sí mismo y la voluntad de Dios para su futuro juntos. Mi oración es que estos estudios con el material adicional dado proveerán un fundamento firme en el que tú puedes edificar un matrimonio y una familia que para ambos será personalmente satisfactorio y honroso a Dios hasta que la muerte los separe.
