The authors present model-independent measurements of the branching fractions[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) and[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) based on 19.3 fb[sup -1] of data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e[sup+]e[sup -] B Factory. Neutral B-meson decays to the D*[sub s][sup+]D*[sup -] final state are selected with a partial reconstruction of the D*[sub s][sup+]; that is, only the D*[sup -] and the soft photon from the decay D*[sub s][sup+][yields] D[sub s][sup+][gamma] are reconstructed. The branching fraction[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) is extracted from these event yields, while[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) is determined by combining this result with a previous measurement of the product[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) x[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) with partial reconstruction of the D*[sup -]. They obtain the following preliminary results:[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -])= (1.50[+-] 0.16[+-] 0.12)%, [Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+])= (4.7[+-] 0.6[+-] 0.8)% where the first error is statistical, and the second systematic.

The direct CP asymmetry in the untagged inclusive channel [bar B] [yields] X[sub s+d] [gamma] provides a strict test of the standard model. It has been shown beyond the partonic level that this asymmetry is negligibly small thanks to U-spin relations and to the unitarity of the CKM matrix. In the present paper we investigate this relation beyond the SM; in particular, we analyze to which extent deviations from this prediction are possible in supersymmetric scenarios. We analyze the minimal flavour violation scenario, including tan [beta]-enhanced terms and using the complete two-loop renormalization group running. Our analysis fully takes into account also the EDM constraints on the supersymmetric phases. We investigate possible correlations between the tagged and the untagged CP asymmetries and the indirect sensitivity of the latter to the [bar B] [yields] X[sub d] [gamma] CP asymmetry. Furthermore, we derive general model-independent formulae for the branching ratios and CP asymmetries for the inclusive [bar B] [yields] X[sub d] [gamma] and [bar B] [yields] X[sub s] [gamma] modes, and update the corresponding SM predictions.

We set a preliminary 95% C.L. exclusion on the oscillation frequency of B[sub s][sup 0] -[bar B][sub s][sup 0] mixing using a sample of 400,000 hadronic Z[sup 0] decays collected by the SLD experiment at the SLC during the 1996-98 run. Three analyses are presented in this paper. The first analysis partially reconstructs the B[sub s][sup 0] by combining a fully reconstructed D[sub s] with the remaining charged B decay tracks. The second analysis selects a sample of events with a partially reconstructed charm vertex and a lepton track. The third analysis reconstructs b-hadrons topologically and exploits the b[yields] c cascade charge structure to determine the flavor of the b-hadron at decay. All three analyses take advantage of the large forward-backward asymmetry of the polarized Z[sup 0][yields] b[bar b] decays and information in the hemisphere opposite to the reconstructed B vertex to determine the b-hadron flavor at production. The results of the three analyses are combined to exclude the following values of the B[sub s][sup 0] -[bar B][sub s][sup 0] oscillation frequency:[Delta]m[sub s]
