MEHMETÇİK VE EDEBİYAT Bu sayımızı kahraman ordumuza ithaf ediyoruz. İnsanı keşfetme yöntemlerinden biridir edebiyat; meçhulü ve malumu. Bazen bilinenlerin bilinmeyenlerden daha fazla keşfedilecek tarafı vardır; görünende ne çok görünmeyen saklı. Mehmetçik bizim için meçhul bir varlık değil kalbimizdir, yaşatmak için çarpan. Bu sıcak kelimede Muhammed vardır, muhabbet vardır, merhamet vardır. Hakkı vardır şiirlerle, hikâyelerle, romanlarla anılmaya. Napolyon’un Rusya seferi Tolstoy’a “Harp ve Sulh”u yazdırdı, I. Dünya Savaşı Remarque’a “Garp Cephesinde Yeni Bir Şey Yok”u. Mehmetçik başlı başına bir âlem; fedakârlık bir kurgu değil onda, bir hakikat. Fakat bu hakikate hakkıyla nüfuz edebilmemiz için üzerlerine düşen sorumluluğu yerine getiren Mehmet Akif, Yahya Kemal, Kemal Tahir, Tarık Buğra, Attila İlhan ve Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu gibi eski şair ve yazarlarımızın yanı sıra yenilerine ihtiyacımız var, taze kana. Zira hakikat hayal aynasına defalarca düşmeden ışığını yansıtamıyor. Şiirler, hikâyeler, makaleler yazdık bu sayımızda Mehmetçiğe şükranlarımızı ifade etmek için: “Mehmetçik ve Edebiyat” başlıklı dosyamızda Prof. Dr. Ahmet Nedim Serinsu “Asker Millet Olarak Hz. Muhammed’i Sevdiğini Söylemek: Mehmetçik”; Hasan Akay “Şehid Oğlu Bir Şairin Bir Başka Şair Tarafından Savunulması!”; Ali Sürmelioğlu “Elemim Bir Yüreğin Kârı Değil”; Ercan Yılmaz “Benden Bir Kahramanlık Neşidesi mi Bekliyordunuz?”; Mustafa Köneçoğlu “Biz Neyiz ya da Mehmetçik Bizim Kimimiz Olur”; Oğuz Şenses “Söz Ola Kese Savaşı”; Serhat Demirel “Yahya Kemal Beyatlı’nın Şiirinde ‘Mümin Bir Nefer’ Olarak Türk Askeri”; Hüseyin Tunca “Gün Akşamlıdır Devletlim; Dün Doğduk, Bugün Ölürüz!..” ve Naime Erkovan “Kızılelma Kalbindir” başlıklı yazılarını kaleme aldılar. Karabatak yine önemli bir röportaja imza attı. Fikir adamlarımızdan Savaş Ş. Barkçin “Şehir Tükenmiş ise İnsan da Tükenmiştir” başlıklı röportajında medeniyete, insan inşasına, kültüre ve daha birçok konuya, Mehmet Babalıoğlu’nun sorularına verdiği cevaplarla ışık tutarak düşünceyle duyguyu harmanladı. Bu sayımız için Mehmetçik konulu öykülerini kaleme alan öykücülerimiz Mehmet Babalıoğlu, Bünyamin Demirci, Hatice Tekin, Aziza Rüya, Hilal Karaman, Ali Murat Binark, Rabia Tümkor, Güvercin Gündoğdu ve Yelda Özdemir. Deneme sayfalarımızda Ali Ömer Akbulut ve poetika sayfalarımızda Hasan Akay yer alıyor. Derya Özer tiyatro bölümümüzde “Palto” isimli oyunu kaleme alırken Şafak Çelik sinema incelemesiyle “Suyun Sesi” filmini okurlarımıza tanıtıyor. Bu sayıya özel Mehmetçik konulu şiirlerimizin şairleri ise Adem Yazıcı, Meryem Kılıç, Hüseyin Akın, Şafak Çelik, Sümeyra Yaman, Kamil Remzi Cin, Cennet İmata, Ali Seyyah, Sare Öztürk, Mustafa Sarı, Filiz Geç, Elif Balcı ve Yasemin Zengin. Kitap tanıtımı bölümümüzde ise Özlem Metin, “Bisiklet Dersleri”ni inceliyor. Ve elbette olmazsa olmaz dostlarımız F. Hande Topbaş, Rahşan Tekşen, Ertan Ayhan Sertöz, Sedat Gever, Ayşe Ural, M. S. Topbaş ve Sabahattin Kayış’ı andıktan sonra Karabatak’ın, otuz sekizinci kez havalanmaya hazır olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.

Post-colonial theory is a relatively new area in critical contemporary studies, having its foundations more Postcolonial Criticism brings together some of the most important critical writings in the field, and aims to present a clear overview of, and introduction to, one of the most exciting and rapidly developing areas of contemporary literary criticism. It charts the development of the field both historically and conceptually, from its beginnings in the early post-war period to the present day. More recently, a new generation of academics have provided fresh assessments of the interaction of class, race and gender in cultural production, and this generation is represented in the work of Aijaz Ahmad, bell hooks, Homi Bhabha, Abdul JanMohamed and David Lloyd. Topics covered include negritude, national culture, orientalism, subalternity, ambivalence, hybridity, white settler societies, gender and colonialism, culturalism, commonwealth literature, and minority discourse. The editors point to the variety, even conflict, within the field, but also stress connections and parallels between the various figures and debates which they identify as central to an understanding of it.
