Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Hj. Harussani bin Hj. Zakaria adalah anak bongsu kepada pasangan Hj. Zakaria b. Hj. Osman dan Hjh. Zainab bt. Jalaluddin, dilahirkan kira-kira 79 tahun yang lalu di Parit Buntar, Perak. Ayah beliau merupakan seorang yang tegas dalam memberi didikan agama kepada anak-anaknya. Perjalanan menjadi Mufti beliau bermula apabila menjawat jawatan sebagai Kadi di Jabatan Agama Pulau Pinang bermula dari tahun 1967 hingga 1973, kemudiannya dilantik sebagai Kadi Besar dari 1973 hingga 1985.Kefasihan beliau dalam mengulas isu-isu agama Islam telah melayakkan beliau untuk dilantik sebagai Mufti Perak bermula 1985 hingga kini. Secara umumnya, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Hj. Harussani adalah seorang yang tegas dalam pendiriannya. Ketegasan beliau dalam isu-isu yang melibatkan agama Islam ini sebenarnya bukan lagi menjadi rahsia, sama ada dalam kalangan sahabat handai, para penyokong, mahupun mereka yang tidak sependapat dengan beliau. Sejarah telah merakamkan betapa lantangnya beliau ketika bercakap tentang isu murtad, poco-poco, Majlis Perundingan Antara Agama, yoga, penggunaan kalimah Allah oleh orang-orang bukan Islam, kerajaan perpaduan (UMNO-PAS) dan demonstrasi jalanan. Buku ini bukan hanya pengkisahan memoir tetapi juga memberikan beliau satu ruang penjelasan mengenai isu-isu sensasi yang pernah beliau bangkitkan sebelum ini. Semoga karya ini dapat dijadikan rujukan dan penerangan sewajarnya kepada para pembaca.
