Da dies ein sehr umfangreiches Themengebiet ist, habe ich mich auf bestimmte inhaltliche Schwerpunkte konzentriert. Zu diesem Thema interessierten mich vor allem die wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen, sowie die moralischen und ethischen Wertvorstellungen auf denen die soziale Gruppenarbeit basiert bzw. von denen die methodischen Handlungsschritte und anzustrebenden Ziele abgeleitet werden. Dabei m chte ich mir ein m glichst umfangreiches Bild ber Inhalte, Ziele, methodische Handlungsans tze und den gesellschaftlichen Bezug dieser Form der Sozialarbeit aneignen. Weiterhin gehe ich im letzten Teil dieser Arbeit auf die Aufgabe und Rolle des Gruppenleiters in sozialen Arbeitsgruppen ein, da ich die darin enthaltenen Informationen f r meine zuk nftige Arbeit als SozialarbeiterIn f r wichtig halte. Ich habe meine Arbeit in 4 inhaltlich aufeinander aufgebaute Themengebiete gegliedert: Beginnen werde ich mit einem kurzen berblick ber den Inhalt und Umfang der sozialen Gruppenarbeit (die einzelnen inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte entnehmen Sie bitte aus dem Inhaltsverzeichnis Gliederungspunkt 2), um einen theoretischen Ausgangspunkt f r die anschlie enden methodischen Handlungsschritte (siehe bitte Gliederungspunkte 3.) zu schaffen. Um die theoretischen Grundlagen der sozialen Gruppenarbeit noch tiefgehender zu untermauern, habe ich das Stufen-Modell zur Entwicklung von Gruppen innerhalb des sozialen Arbeitsprozesses mit in meine Hausarbeit einbezogen, da ich es f r das Arbeiten mit Gruppen f r notwendig halte, ber die in diesem Modell geschilderten gruppendynamische Prozesse und Strukturver nderungen der Gruppe, Kenntnisse zu haben.

Population mobility is at an all-time high in human history. One result of this unprecedented movement of peoples around the world is that in many school systems monolingual and monocultural students are the exception rather than the rule, particularly in urban areas. This shift in demographic realities entails enormous challenges for educators and policy-makers. What do teachers need to know in order to teach effectively in linguistically and culturally diverse contexts? The aim of Language for those who have Nothing is to think psychiatry through the writings of Mikhail Bakhtin. Using the concepts of Dialogism and Polyphony, the Carnival and the Chronotope, a novel means of navigating the clinical landscape is developed. Bakhtin offers language as a social phenomenon and one that is fully embodied. Utterances are shown to be alive and enfleshed and their meanings realised in the context of given social dimensions. The organisation of this book corresponds with carnival practices of taking the high down to the low before replenishing its meaning anew. Thus early discussions of official language and the chronotope become exposed to descending levels of analysis and emphasis. Patients and practitioners are shown to occupy an entirely different spatio-temporal topography. These chronotopes have powerful borders and it is necessary to use the Carnival powers of cunning and deception in order to enter and to leave them. The book provides an overview of practitioners who have attempted such transgression and the author records his own unnerving experience as a pseudopatient. By exploring the context of psychiatry's unofficial voices: its terminology, jokes, parodies, and everyday narratives, the clinical landscape is shown to rely heavily on unofficial dialogues in order to safeguard an official identity.

Hughes draws on an enormous range of literature, art, and architecture to explore what technology has brought to society and culture, and to explain how we might begin to develop an "ecotechnology" that works with, not against, ecological systems. The French writer Arnold van Gennep first called attention to the phenomena of status passages in his Rites of Passage one hundred years ago. In Status Passage, first published in 1971, the movement of individuals and groups in contemporary society from one status to another is examined in the light of Gennep's original theory. Glaser and Strauss demonstrate that society emerges as a comparative order.
