These roads also follow the same routes used by General George Washington as he led his weary, freezing soldiers to Morristown after the crossing of the Delaware and the victory at the Battle of Princeton during the American Revolution. The Millstone Valley Scenic Byway, which is a central feature of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area, makes history come alive through a charming glimpse of the rural past surviving in the heart of America's most densely populated state.
