Una delle attività economiche più proficue è quella del settore tessile, in cui sono coinvolte le industrie che devono soddisfare le sempre più crescenti esigenze dei consumatori. Al contempo, essa è anche una delle più inquinanti: per i nostri abiti, la produzione (prima) e la manutenzione (dopo) costa enormi quantità di acqua, energia e risorse non rinnovabili, ciò rende i prodotti tessili “insostenibili”. Occorre fornire una nuova impostazione produttiva ed ecologicamente orientata, in grado di abbracciare il concetto di sviluppo sostenibile, che include gli aspetti ecologici, sociali ed economici. Proprio per approfondire ed indagare su queste tematiche, nasce l’elaborato “Verso una moda sostenibile”: nel primo capitolo sarà affrontata la questione che riguarda l’impatto ambientale provocato dall’industria tessile; nel secondo verranno discussi i temi della sostenibilità connessi al settore tessile; nel terzo si analizzeranno le aree di intervento per favorire la sostenibilità nel processi produttivi del sistema moda ed, infine, nell’ultimo capitolo verrà esaminato il legame “sostenibile” tra produttori, fornitori e consumatori.
